2  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: 1st with Master T Slaver @ ELD's Mox 21 on: February 17, 2009, 06:40:58 am
I wonder what Jer would have done if his opponent said "ohh are you sure i said blue floating well then i need to get my emerald instead is that ok?" I mean i am very curious if this "nice guy" would have still been this "nice" in that scenerio. Dont get me wrong i like Jer and am very surprized to hear that he did this, but the fact of the matter is he is far to good of a player to think this was OK. In otherwords Jer had a lapse of judgement CHEATED and needs to be penalized. IMO suspention would be fair maybe 6months or something. I mean that should give him sometime to brush up on his legacy anyway. There atleast at these tournys he can better work to better understandthe color wheel as well as the rules regarding "take backsies" as ELD said.

PS Everyone makes mistakes and the kid is certainly not the devil. However if he doesnt get suspended i move for everyone to throw forests and islands at him till he can tell the difference regarding what mana they produce upon impact. This should happen at every vintage event till he can do so.

Double post merged - Godder.
3  Vintage Community Discussion / Rules Q&A / Re: Out of control graveyards on: July 15, 2008, 08:34:35 pm
This is similar to when a player is dredging his graveyard i can assume, I feel that there is no comparison to what is in play and a pile of in-line cards flowing from the bottom of a players library to the bottom of the table and in front of him. Not to mention any player who would bitch about this and pretend that they don't know what is in play is probably either a terrible magic player and doesn't understand the basics of magic or is just trying to "bust" there friends balls. I mean really what do you expect a player to do look through his GY after every time priority is passed? I feel as though this is specifically to create a problem and feel as though you should maintain game state better. As long as the GY is neat and orderly you shouldn't have a problem with it, tables are only so big.

Just for the record i was using sarcasm to show ignorance glad you are intelligent enough to realize that. Hahahaha obviously grim long is the best deck in the format as it stands right now. However with a little thought hopefully people will be creative enough to come up with more competitive decks to diversify the metagame.
6  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: HeroZone Tourney June 28th 2008 Sandusky Ohio **unexplored metagame** on: June 22, 2008, 05:59:49 pm

i would post my belcher list but i think either ELD or ben will probly post the top 8 list and i dont feel like typing all the one of's. Also there are deffinitly some changes i would make and i would want to post a unperfected list.
8  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: $300 1st Place at Batter Up Sportscards in Tewksbury, MA 6/21 on: June 21, 2008, 09:21:34 pm
post a report for me too mdizzle since i hate writting tourny reports they seem like they take way to much time. Time i could be using to figure out what to crush slaver with next time.
9  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: 6-14, 6-15 4x MISHRA'S WORKSHOPS for 1ST PLACE Enfield, CT. 2 day event!!! on: May 30, 2008, 05:17:32 am
Twaun007  you think your going to come dominate the east coast hahahaha thats laughable, your confidence will be your downfall. Coming to the east coast to dominate a type 1 is like entering a MMA match after watching enter the dragon and thinking you have a chance to win because you saw bruce lee do some "cool" karate moves. Regarding your statement on may 29th, you basically have but a target on you chest and infact i hope you catch all east coasters all day, well atleast your first 2 rounds until you drop. You have basically stated your ignorance in front of the type 1 community to be seen by all. I do hope you post your results after the tourny. Good luck, hahahahaha you'll need it. Ive heard from others its hard to play with an east coast foot shoved in your ass.

11  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Grind Servant G/R Painter on: May 08, 2008, 09:59:17 pm
your name is king.... what exactly are you king of obviously not magic since you dont know the rules at all. RTFC's before you post a list there is already much better versions of this deck in the works youll see them after i win a few tournys.

Full Warning for violating rules 1) Writing Skills, 2) Inflammatory Posting, and 4) Lack of Content.

The point i was trying to make is that those individuals or groups that are refusing to go to his tournys based on his opinion of others tournys are immature. If you read my entire comment you would understand that i do not fully agree with hatchman, infact there are alot of things i disagree with him about regarding this topic. However, I do feel that for someone to boycott his tourny based on him stating his opinions is immature and foolish. Perhaps I didnt make myself clear or perhaps you dont have the ability to understand something without having it explained in depth but the point of the matter is i support those who take a stand against things they don't feel is right. If someone does not feel hatchman has presented his arguement in a professional and mature manner then that would be a reason not to attend his tourny not the fact that he feels other TOs are not presenting a fair prize structure.

For people to boycott this tourny would be stupid. What happened to freedom of speech? You are unhappy about somthing and felt the need to make your opinion known. Regardless of whether people support your opinion or not, they hafta respect the fact that you took a stand. With regards to your prize structure posting i would hafta say that you are correct about myriad and although Dan and Sarah are very nice people, I think many people in the vintage community would agree there prize structure is jank and the math simply doesnt add up. To add to that i really feel you should retract your statements regarding ELDs tourny. He is quite possibly the best TO around and his prizes structure always equals 100% of his entry fees. This does not even begin to account for the hard work he put into his proxies for so long. Anyway I do appreciate you as a TO taking a stand against diminishing prize structure and hope that we will continue to see many tournaments from you. Thanks again.

18  Archives / Tournament Announcement Forum / Re: Play for a set of Mana Drains April 5th @ Arkham Asylum Norwich Ct. on: March 12, 2008, 08:22:10 am
Seams to me like a tourny where everyone gets prizes is gona be super fun. Every player in the top 12 can take home somthing, thats cool. Although i do understand the grip about no moxen all the money thats gona be taken in plus some is gona go back. This sounds like a great opportunity to try new decks since the top 12 are gona get prizes.
19  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Merfolk? on: March 09, 2008, 07:52:18 am
Thanks haunted echos for the congrats on my waterbury results. I would like to say i have been thinking about this list alot lately and think that i may have been a little hasty in my assumption that this deck would not be competitive, however, i do think this deck needs to add atleast black and probly white as well.  Im gona formulate a completed list to take advantage of weak mana bases aswell as the low count on kill options since oath has made a come back. I have a friend who has been playing u/w/b fish for years and i think im gona ask his advice on this deck ill get back to you shortly with a list.
20  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: [Deck] Turbo Death - Years In The Making on: March 09, 2008, 07:39:09 am
Im gona hafta agree with the prior comment this deck looks like it is very fragile and would lose to a first turn duress almost everytime. I believe this is a definite play on a deck that was very good when saga came back called fluctuator death. Not sure if this is where you got the original idea but i like the bazaar a little better since it cant really be countered. What are you tourny results with this deck?

To all those who think this is a ridiculous entry fee I say something must be wrong with you, look at the prize support. In addition everyone know ELD puts 100% of the money he receives into prize support, not to mention the ridiculous time and effort he puts forth into making these proxies. Ill certainly be there man I support all your events and will continue to because you are a great TO and a generous person.

Damn ELD the force is strong in you. That was a  pretty classic mind trick. Im surprised Rich made such a costly play error, this very well could have cost him the game under slightly different circumstances.
25  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: New gaming store in New England/RI on: February 20, 2008, 01:43:15 pm
This is great to hear. If you really want to get a big turn out for magic 500 you need to do type 1 because the vintage community will travel for an event like this. I would love to come by and check out the store here soon. What format are you planning  hosting for FNM?
26  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Merfolk? on: February 19, 2008, 12:35:43 pm
all though leyline of the void is a stronger card it has a serious draw back compaired to leyline of singularity that should not be over looked. Leyline of singularity can be pitched to force of will late game. This is a huge benefit.
27  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Ichorid on: February 19, 2008, 11:54:44 am
This weekend i won day 2 of waterbury with flash.  In order to get into the top 8 i had to defeat ichorid in the last round, because i was paired down i could not ie in.  My SB against it was amazing and because this and bomberman are the only two decks flash has issues with presideboard i sided heavily against ichorid expecting to see alot of it. I did side 4 extirpates, 4 reverant silences, 3 chain of vapors, as well as one yixilid jailer, a and winged sliver.  Although i do enjoy playing ichorid however i feel that the deck is hated on far to much to win any large event such as waterbury.  After i sideboarded i took the next 2 games easily.
28  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Ongoing TMD 12 (Waterbury) Results!1!1!!! on: February 18, 2008, 08:47:28 pm
 This was a great event, hats off to Rich for being only the second person to ever win TMDO twice. Hopefully next year I can join those 2 players and repeat. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Ray and his staff for putting on an exceptional event while making it fun for all players.    {W} {U} {B} {R} {G}
