1  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: Melbourne, Australia 50 player Top 8 on: June 24, 2011, 03:19:59 am
(Sorry for the dredge, but I can't post event announcements yet.)

We've got another big sanctioned Vintage event coming up soon near Melbourne, Australia.

Vintage Masters - Good Games Dandenong
Saturday 22nd October
AU$40 entry
Prizes include 2 Moxen (tba), among others

There'll also be a Legacy tourney on the Sunday after, and a Highlander tourney on the Friday night before.  Big Eternal weekend.  Smile
More details here.

It'd be great to get some international travellers to future events.  We'll be making this an annual thing, and I'll post details once we've got next year's organised.

There were about 20 people from interstate playing in the event, and considering the distances between major cities in Australia, that's basically equivalent to international travel for people in Europe etc.   Wink

Please, post your events in TMD more often.
I'd love to know how to post threads here...  Any clues?  Are we missing something obvious...?

Thanks for posting these Stephen.  I tried to post them a few days ago but it wouldn't let me start a thread.

This event was the biggest Vintage tourney we've ever had in Australia, and the first sanctioned Vintage in Melbourne in two years, so it's a pretty big deal for us.  Smile

I think the lack of Gush is more a reflection of the slow speed of adaptation here.  I would expect more if we had another tourney like this in the near future.

In 12 Mishra's Workshop decks (excluding Cerebral Assassin and the Mono-Blue Control deck with a Workshop in the sideboard) there were:

48 Lodestone Golem (maximum)
44 Sphere of Resistance
40 Tangle Wire
36 Chalice of the Void
36 Crucible of Worlds
33 Thorn of Amethyst
31 Goblin Welder
27 Ancient Tomb
23 Duplicant
22 Smokestack
19 Greater Gargadon
17 Razormane Masticore
16 Bazaar of Baghdad
13 Karn, Silver Golem
13 Triskelion
13 Barbarian Ring
10 sideboard Null Rod
2 maindeck Null Rod (me)

Cheers,
Neil Crompton.
