See ya Vintage, was nice playing you.

Looking back at Tog for looking for things to add and stumbled across this.

Shrouded Lore  B
Target opponent chooses a card in your graveyard. You may pay B. If you do, repeat this process except that opponent can't choose a card already chosen for Shrouded Lore. Then put the last chosen card into your hand.

With a Tog on board this becomes a Regrowth for B or BB (if you have 2 cards in your graveyard).

And without Tog it is awful.  Not to mention you often don't want to RFG most of your yard.

I think the problem is people are taking the "hook" of the article and without reading the article.  This is basically taking a sound bite and discussing it without context.  Honestly doesn't sound very fruitful to me.

It's not just the price of duels, its the fact that they are:
1. Generally unavailable
2. Cannot be used in other formats (bar legacy)

We have this discussion here is Aussie all the time, and i'm a keen advocate of increasing the proxy count (currently @ 5) but people still complain about card availability, and not just moxen and semi power, simple stuff like FoW's, wastelands can be issues, becasue they invest in cards that cannot be use in PTQ tournaments. Price is a lesser issue.

I agree with coyoteuglly's points also.

Haven't read your article Steve (no premium) but good job anyways Smile

Can't comment on Aussie but in the US duals are pretty easy to find.  Sure not everyone has a set of trops in their tade binder but stores that carry older stuff have duals and they are all over ebay/online stores.

I'm at Dream Wizards in Rockville most Thursday and Friday nights feel free to drop by I'd be up for some Vintage games.  My name is Tim, Thursday is better as Friday I'm playing FNM.

But count me in for interest in getting some Vintage games together in the DC area.

Yeah try emailing Laurel at dreamwizards dot com.  She is the owner and would be the person to talk to.

Hiya, name is Tim.  First played Magic back in the revised era, took a long break.  Played Magic Online at launch and for about a year.  Took a break.  Picked Magic Online up again right around Coldsnap.  Started getting back into paper recently.

I've at this point played 5 matches of Vintage going 2-3 at the Type One side event at GP Philly.  Played Flash as I figured it was best deck to play with limited (or as it turned out, zero) practice.  Interested in getting into both Vintage and Legacy, play Classic online.  I also like cubeing, limited, EDH, and pretty much all Magic the Gathering.

I sometimes play decks without blue in them, this is a bad thing.  Clearly decks with blue>decks without blue.
