I unfortunately now know why the bend test works.  I spent 350 (plus 8 dollars shipping and handling) on an unlimited mox jet on e-bay.  I talked to a young lady for 15 minutes on the phone and everything seemed koshire.  She was a little over 50 feedback and it was 100% positive, but after getting the card (4 days later) I could immediately smell a stinker.  I didn't even need to bend it all the way..  I could hear glue crackling and see the paper seperate in the middle when I put just a little bend on it.  My heart sank.  Anyways, just thought I would share that.

Hi I'm James and have been playing Magic since revised was out in 95.  I missed unlimited by one summer, which I still feel bad about, since I was a competetive player right from the beginning and would have gotten at least a few sets of power nine right away.  I took a break from magic since I had my daughter, but she's a little bigger now and I'm starting to get back to my hobbies, magic being a big one of them.  I am hosting Magic meetups/game nights for Southeast Michigan.  They will start small and hopefully grow from there.  All are welcome and the main page to sign up is at http://mtg.meetup.com/321/
It's at a local coffee house in Roseville, MI.

Anyways, if anyone in the area ever wants to play I'd be happy to come out and bring a few decks.  I play vintage or legacy.
