The event will begin at 1pm, and will be played with swiss rounds and a cut to top 8. The entry fee is $15.

Based on our final turnout, 2nd place will likely be a Library of Alexandria (Played).  I have a good assortment of cards for 3rd - 8th place as well, including Italian Mana Drains, all of the Duals, FoW's and an assortment of other odds and ends cards.

Also, we have a great little greasy spoon restaurant next door, and plenty of fast food nearby, so come early and spend the day hanging out and play-testing.

In the Semi-Final round John's Grim Long fell to Anthony's Workshop Aggro, while Raymond's Fish played right through Josh's Mana'd Ichorid.

In the final match, Raymond swept Anthony for the win and the Time Walk.

We had 11 players and, after a bit of a late start, everything ran well through 4 rounds of swiss and the top 4 Quarters/Semis/Final.

Hello everyone,

My name is Justin, and I've been playing MtG on and off with two casual playgroups since '95.

I recently took over running Dear Mr. Fantazy, a card shop in Orange, CA.  I have never been a tournament player, so I am learning a lot more about the game right now.  I am very interested in both the T2 and T1 games, and I'm working on my first Type 2 deck to play with my friends and customers.

I will be organizing and hosting tournaments Thur, Fri and Sat nearly every week for anyone interested in the southern California area.  I hope to to use TMD to post the relevant tourney info, as well as a tool for learning more about the in depth strategies used in the various formats.
