(just to trying to lighten the mood a little)

The worst is when someone steals half your championship painting right in front of you.

Here we have Odd Mutation, illustrating why he chose his nickname

Well I can understand the name a lot better now, but I just never expected it to be a female.
5  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vote for Team New England! on: January 07, 2011, 10:16:40 am
Is there even any votes? My quick count was like 6 people voted. Most of which voted for people who won't be in attendance.

Sorry guys, I swear I'll get back down there soon, but I couldn't get enough people interested and didn't feel like taking the Commuter Rail.

How'd it go?

9 people, not terrible.

@Bill Copes - You really should have posted the pic of you dressed like a greek god it would be a much more accurate portrayal.

Wait wait wait. That's not the guy from donate, on the right?

After the last Grudge Match showing I believe we should scrap all the usual suspects that played last time and rotate in entirely new people; no offense to those who participated before.

This is actually an interesting concept. Not allowing repeat contenders would give other people a chance to show their stuff. Maybe require at least a top 8 to get in though? I mean this is assuming we keep the grudge matches going. Also we'd need a time frame in which the veterans are allowed back into the pool, or we'd run out of people at somepoint.

I nominate myself for starters :p

The fact that I didn't top 8 was a St. Feinstein's Day miracle

Ohhh. That makes a lot more sense. I was thinking it was your play skill. That's a relief.  Wink

Obviously, I haven't been at Scholars enough, to keep your ass in line.

Last place doesn't really need to be kept in check but, if you feel the need to reclaim it, you could return. I'll even help you along the way.

Look it's not like I took a quote from you and exaggerated it, then put it in my sig to make you look bad.   Very Happy

What type of arrogant, self-richeous prick would do that???    Wink

My guess would be someone who can't even top 8, themselves. Even when ELD gives his top 8 spot to him/her.

Jus' sayin' :p

AHHHH I'm so mad, I was just in Durham 2 weeks ago, visiting a friend, and didn't know there was a card shop around there. I even brought all my cards in case I found one  Sad

This is what I posted a couple of weeks ago, it should be accurate within a card or two:
It's really just a UBw Tez deck with a Salvager combo.

To play Vintage correctly, you must be able to will Lotus to the top of your deck at any point.

imo, it's better to Lotus the Will on top of your deck.

Also a great, if not better, strategy!

I could be wrong, but I believe it's just what Eric calls "Tezzeret" decks that have +2-3 Jace, TMS.

Game 2: Paul Pierces my opening Lotus.

The Boston Celtics were there??

In the finals match, was the painting that's half yours brought up in conversation at all? Was it perhaps hanging nearby and thus throwing you off your game?

This week we're sweetening the deal even more for MNV.  On top of our already amazing prizes for the Top 4, we'll be giving away a door prize.  The door prize will be given away to one a random player at the end of the swiss rounds, who played all the rounds, but did not make Top 4.

friggen figures. I think i may be stuck at work....on my day off! :pissed:

Tyler was playing some sort of Sligh.

Adams car was robbed, he lost everything, so he played MUD.
