1  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Marriage: The Gathering on: November 10, 2008, 04:20:42 pm

OK, I totally admit that I was a "magic girl-friend".  My now husband turned me on to the game a little after we met. We were married in 2000.  I will say it has given us something to talk about other than crappy days at work, kids, and the proverbial stupid relative story.  He started me out on basic creature decks and I still prefer them over all.  We go to pre-release tournys but aren't into the really "specialized formats".  I like MTG, like playing, even building the decks.

I just checked, and MTGChicago.com is up and running again, if your interested.  You should read it, there are addresses of all types on it.

He had a dealer table at the Alara PR in Indianapolis.  He also was at GenCon Indy this year at Hotsauce's Cards booth.  I've heard so many of these stories from people in the Chicago area. I dont see how this guy is still allowed to do business.  As a player in the area, I can say that I haven't done any business with him and don't plan on it.  EVER. His rep has definitely made him someone that I and my friends want to stay clear of.  He manages to get the Pre-Release tables thru Pastimes.net as they are the PTO (or should I say were) for the Chicago/Indiana area.

I'm guessing your asking me to be more specific so...
I was told that there was to be a Vintage tourny at College of DuPage on October 12, 2008
to be TO'ed by J. Donovan.  I was wondering if anyone can confirm this, as it is not on the Events Calendar.

Has anyone heard of a Vintage game being held at COD for the month of October?

Donovan was to be the TO.  (no stach involved)
