1. How do i get to this from Frankfurt?
2. Where can i stay? I'll be there from 30 dec to 4th january if it turns out well. So looking for some not-so-expensive place.

I would post my opinion on the blog...if it was in english.

Kinda hard to read for the majority of the mana drainer's, so if you want more people to read it, then i'd recommend you to start writing in english.

Although i'm a sucker for pictures, so thumbs up for that!
4  Eternal Formats / Eternal Article Discussion / Re: [Premium Article] So Many Insane Plays --The Battle for the Best Deck in History on: August 17, 2009, 05:08:24 am
Great read!

Those oldschool decks is a blast to play, such a shame it's not possible to play them in todays meta.

Slightly off-topic, but stephen, what are those purple sleeves? Also, do you reccomend them?

Hey all!

I'm interested in this deck, but got no power, so i wonder what the best replacement for the power is?

This is the changes I've done:
+1 Underground Sea
+1 Tropical Island
+2 Island
+1 Swamp
+3 Trygon Predator

-4 Moxen
-1 Black Lotus
-1 Merchant scroll
-1 Ancestrall Recall
-1 Time Walk

Here's the list:

1 Strip mine
4 Wasteland
4 Underground Sea
4 Tropical Island
1 Bayou
4 Polluted Delta
2 Flooded Strand
2 island
1 swamp

4 Force of Will
4 Null Rod
2 Stifle
3 Negate
3 Thoughtseize
2 Duress
1 Echoing Truth

4 Dark Confidant
4 Cursecatcher
4 Tarmogoyf
3 trygon predator

1 Brainstorm
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor

I would like to get in more Stifle and maybe daze.
Have anyone tried daze in this deck, and if so:
What do you think about it?
Is negate a bad card to run, without 4xmoxen?

Also have anyone tried Sinkhole in the deck?
Maybe a crazy idea, but with all the LD and Null rod package this could be a killer.

U/R Fish doesn't seems to hot.
It seems like a weaker version of BUG Fish. Did i miss anything garathiel?

@Mr.grim

We don't got any proxy events here in Europe unfortually.

So U/R Landstill is the deck to build? Any more opinions?
7  Eternal Formats / Creative / What deck should i chose for a specific metagame? on: December 04, 2008, 09:59:11 am
This is my first post on TMD, so hello everyone!

I love vintage, but unfortually I'm a student which means i got no P9 available.
I got a playset of drains however, and it's time to build a competitive vintage deck.

I got no "real" meta, but whenever there is a T1 tourney there is always plenty of Oath & U/R Stax showing up. Therefor i want a deck that got a good match up/can constantly beat those two archtypes.

The decks i have came down to chose between is those (All which works good without power):

*BUG Fish
*U/W Fish
*U/R Landstill
*U/W Landstill
*Goblins

So can anyone who have playtested the above decks tell me which ones is strong against stax (UR) and Oath, because that will most likely be my choice.
I won't be able to playtest before i build it together so i'll trust my fellow TMD:ers on this one.

Best regards Shpongle
