I do appreciate your input, but I have played sui black and I really don't have the mentality for it I guess.  I was looking to build something a bit more dated.  It was for lack of a better descriptor like control black.  It had towers for life gain, edicts for removal a lot of discard using hymn and duress and creatures to do what creatures do and bring the pain.  I guess Im pushing the idea of vintage here but I wonder if Im getting my point across.

Hello

I am brand new here, and I have come because as of late I have had the urge to build an old fashioned necro deck.  I have so far what I think is a decent start to the deck I want to build, I find myself at a loss of what to do from here.

4X dark ritual
4X duress
4X diabolic edict
4X phyrexian negator
4X nantuko shade

1X necropotence
1X mind twist
1X demonic tutor
1X demonic consultation

What I was considering for the deck is:

1X vampiric tutor
1X yawgmoth's will
1X yawgmoth's bargain
1X drain life

4X hypnotic specter
4X hymm to tourach

2X ivory tower
2X rain of tears

19X swamp
1X strip mine

At first glance the deck seems rather creature heavy, I am really not sure if thats what Im looking to do.  I had thoughts of removing the negators and putting in some land destruction in the form of rain of tears.  I am really not sure though any advice you guys can offer would be much appreciated.  Also I ask that you guys bear with me a bit I haven't been playing that much since the end Urza's block, so I am kind of out of the loop as it were.

Thanks for any advice

Mr. Giovanni
