Misdirection:
great card, i usaly use it as an aditional fow vs counterdecks. the one time you take an opponents recall (fun, but not the main reason) is worth a slot. but i like the idea of having a 5th fow in my deck.

Mystical Tutor:
i thought mystical is more obvious then merchiant scroll. but both are great U tutors that can get the cards that you want (tinker, recall, drain, fow or repeal). i think its not a waste of a slot and a musthave in each blue deck.

Mana Crypt:
the times i use my salvagers combo i dont care about the crypt. only in the vault combo it can be a pain in the ass. but 75% of the combo's i play turn out to be the salvagers combo. and even so, with rebuild, 3 repeal and a tinker, why not use this card for the mana acc. (if you get in trouble, practice your dice roll Very Happy)

Academy Ruins:
you dont see that card in any format. but i think its underrated. this cards helps your toolbox reanimate itselve without a salvagers. i can say it won me a few games vs dredge. i even conciderd tolaria west, but that card is too slow.

SB (extract vs cannonist):
cannonist has been for ages in my sb. the problem was that at end of my turn if i had no counter (due to discard) is got bounces and i lost the game. this is the 2nd time i use extract and i like it. extract is not as good as the cannonist but helps you to see what outs your opponent has (number or tendrails, vault e.a.) with that knowledge i can ajust my gameplan. im thinking to cut and needle on my sb for an aditional extract. vs draintendraills is a strong card. i'm not using it against oath because  3 seal en 2 EE should do the trick with counters.

Pithing Needle:
great card main board. i dont think i need a second one in my sb. the commen targets are vault, grindstone, welder and shaman. nothing stp of seals can handle. but one neelde is a must in the toolbox. pre side not alot of decks can get it of the battlefield.

Jace the Mindsculptor:
im no fan of the, cant even remember what it does. jace only helps vs controle matchups if im correct. controle usealy is in my favor because om my 2/2 beaters.

hello,

im the creator of that bomberman list that bram and i played in breda. (note: with same list i got to the finals in mol, belgium a few weeks back)

the thought of playing black in this deck is not a good idea. in the past i have tryed and lost games because i had no tundra or sea to play my cards that i needed or i got into a wasteland lock or a magus of the moon. i cant think of any cards except the 2 toturs and will that you would like to run in this deck. 3 cards for manabase disruption aint a good deal (- island - plains + 2 sea) imo.

tezzeret, great card. its a must to counter it if you want to win the game. the deck has 2 combo's  that require a lot of counters to stop them. the biggest advantage is that you can use the slots of one combo to replace them with the sb cards you need for game 2.

because no one likes to see a salvagers or a time vault in play the games usaly result in a argo game with a trinket mage beatdown or they run out of counters.

i tested the version i listed in the first post, the only thing i changed was my sb - crypt + echoing truth.

round 1: mono red painter combo
no problem, he did not find combo whitin 5 turns, i won on beatdown. g2 needles helped alot. 2-0

round 2: ichoride
stupid me to exchange crypts whit echoing truth. the idea (that didnt work) was to block his ichoride too remove bridges en echoing truth for his tokens.
useless idea it apeared. 0-2

round 3: ichoride
same 0-2

round 4: kind of T1 pikula (sinkhole, discard, vindicate, stp, hippy ect)
turn 2 i had no cards in my hand and 4 creatures in play. 2-0

round 5: tendrails
no commend. he scooped twice turn 2. etherswon + sphere Smile 2-0

round 6: oath (DCS, eternal witness, voltekey)
twice turn 1 oath whit a 1/1 token for me. en turn 3 DSC walkover whit untop whit dam key.

3-3 for first time playing this deck aint bad because whit 4 crypt i would have probably won 2 ichoride matches.

to get back on your posts.

AbdullahTheButcher :

ravager + master --> one ot the 2 is needed for a large kill. if these are both in play ravager stays 1/1.

moon commend. the lands stay artifactmountains sow they count stil as artifact. its true it messes my manabase up but i have atleast a eathervail inplay or a good change of beatdown whit the creatures i have in play. moon hurst my opponent too.

welder controle aint a problem. you dont hav arti's in youre graveyard sow no swith whit lands vs master e.a. and whit needle sb i think this match is in my favor.

oath is a big problem and havnt solved it. who has a idea?

sol ring and mana vault are to slow for a good turn one drop. i'd like to have atleast 4 mana and i think the manacrypt and 5mox are just faster.i want a lock in 2 turns bepending on the deck i play against.

manabase whit non artifact lands slow the beatdown down. so no option in my oppinion.

adding welder same reason as i told vs welder controle. no artifact go to the grave.

SuckedBackIn:

nice decklist but i think the cranial platings are overkill.
Etherium Sculptor seems to me a waste of slots.
tinker DSC is a good idee.
