It's been too long. I'm feeling the itch.

I think that's the asbestos emitting from your smokestacks.

LOVE this.  Holla when it's live.
3  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: TO Report: Team Serious Invitational III aka Mishra's Sweatshop on: July 29, 2015, 12:24:38 pm
Is the plan just to hard cast big dragony things, post board?  Is there a combo I'm missing?  I'm so confused.
4  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: My Kickstarter is live. Anyone use dice here? (GIF and IMAGE HEAVY) on: July 01, 2015, 08:25:05 am
I have a deckbox, dice vault and dice tray from early production runs.  They're solid.  The Bentley of deck boxes.
5  Eternal Formats / Blue-Based Control / Re: Why play Bomberman? (NE US) on: June 30, 2015, 11:59:18 am
The question is, how many trinket mage and salvagers are correct in the current paper magic meta. Does Monastery mentor play well in the Bomberman shell?

I just played in the NYSE and took 11th with Bomberman/Mentor.  I played 4 trinket, 2 mentor, 2 snap, 1 salvager.  4 trinkets was awesome, snapcaster was great/ok all day, 2 mentors was the right number for my build and 1 salvager was perfect.  Mentor and salvagers makes for lots of tokens and mentor gives you fight without combo.  My losses on the day were not even games and were to miserable mulligans, which seems to be a things with bomberman.

I personally think I need find 1 more space for a playable draw spell.  Like thirst or gush.

Congrats!  Looking forward to seeing the full list.

Also, @yugular, perhaps your efforts could be put toward a TMD vintage staple list that the community can help upkeep.
8  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Eternal staples shortlist, does it exist? on: May 27, 2015, 08:51:00 am
I'd go through the cards that he lists out in his podcasts from the past two years.  Anything that cross-references with more than a couple top 8's is probably something you want a set of.  Otherwise, the lists that were published previously (via starcity, i believe) are your best bet.  I can't speak on legacy, but the card pool for vintage still hasn't changed much from five years ago.  Remember, we usually only gain a couple cards from a new set, so there's not much work to be done in compiling a new list.
9  Eternal Formats / Global Vintage Tournament Reports and Results / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] TO Report Vintage NYSE Qualifier 5/9/15 on: May 18, 2015, 10:14:15 am
Thanks for the lists! Do you by chance have the decklists for:

 Doom-Engine Red-Shops
 UR Hate Bears
 U/R The Answer

I believe I still have them all I will have to check when I get home today, but if you want to send me a PM I can look at typing them up.

If it saves time, just snap a couple pics of the list.  I too am curious about Boom Engine.
10  Eternal Formats / Workshop-Based Prison / Re: Probing Shops on: April 14, 2015, 03:43:18 pm
I would really love for this card to be playable, it does so much in theory, but the cost is just too high.

Totally.  Seems like it would be fun to stick one of these vs. delver or some such, then metamorph it for the humor.  Add in a few Ankh of Mishra's and blammo.
11  Eternal Formats / Workshop-Based Prison / Re: Probing Shops on: April 14, 2015, 09:09:10 am
If I wanted to know what my opponents hand was, I'd run the amazing, incredibule, duressing, Pyrostatic Pillaring poop prison.

+1, bullshit pending.
13  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] Weekly Tuesday Night Vintage on: March 30, 2015, 12:24:19 pm
Barring last-minute weirdness, I should be there tomorrow, with a subpar, untested deck.
14  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] Sanctioned Vintage FNMs on: March 30, 2015, 10:47:01 am
So I've gotten some feedback from a couple of people and it sounds like no one is particularly unavailable on 4/13, so I will move the date to that evening instead.  That way I can attend and run the event.

So, this is an MNM instead of an FNM?
15  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] Sanctioned Vintage FNMs on: March 20, 2015, 08:57:52 am
Sorry, guys.  I'm square, too.  Not prepared for the event and haven't seen my wife all week.  Gonna go have a Friday night of not-thinking, instead.
16  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [DTK] Glint on: March 13, 2015, 12:39:34 pm
In a distant land, far, far into the unknown, where Misdirection exists . . . there is a man . . . there is a man and he sayeth, "Nay!  I shall not cast what is of optimal use!  Damn ye, spells of extra turns of equal cost!  Damn ye, spells that change targets for free!  With a hexproof umbrella and an insignificant toughness boost, I will protect my beloved babes from decaying abruptly!" With a glint in his eye, the spell was cast . . . only to be misdirected to his opponent's creature.

This card is fucking awful.
17  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [DTK] Display of Dominance on: March 09, 2015, 02:45:05 pm
Really good art though, not even sure whats happening here.

Big trouble in little china, I think.
18  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [DTK] Display of Dominance on: March 09, 2015, 02:16:24 pm
This caught my eye initially, but I don't think it has a home anywhere.

I can maybe see some cute interactions with painter's servant . . . but blasts pretty much accomplish everything that this card would try to do, but better.
19  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [DKT] Dragonlord Ojutai on: March 06, 2015, 06:11:56 pm
Will the moderators please lock TMD?  This is getting ridiculous.
20  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: [PANDEMONIUM] Sanctioned Vintage FNMs on: March 02, 2015, 12:49:55 pm
I don't have a deck ready, so I'd prefer bumping to the 20th.

P. Mas, is not awesome. 'Nuff said.

23  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [FRF] Goblin Boom Keg on: January 16, 2015, 10:04:25 am
I would play this over Boom Keg, as it's much easier to achieve and usable right away:

Although you do lose the going to the graveyard damage clause and it gets boned by null rod.
24  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Best Movies of 2014! on: January 13, 2015, 11:06:23 am
Here are the horror movies I remember enjoying, in no particular order:
  • The Babadook
  • Under The Skin
  • Devil's Due
  • Green Inferno (remake)
  • Open Grave
25  Eternal Formats / General Strategy Discussion / Re: [FRF] Hewed Stone Retainers on: January 13, 2015, 09:46:16 am
If MUD were in need of cheap, vanilla creatures, it would have figured out how to abuse Salvage Titan by now, as it is "free."
This card feels less-playable than that, to me.
26  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Myriad Games Vintage - Saturday December 20th, 2014 on: December 20, 2014, 10:36:56 am
I might be a tad late, but there before noon.
27  Eternal Formats / Northeast U.S. / Re: Myriad Games Vintage - Saturday December 20th, 2014 on: December 18, 2014, 11:58:01 am
I'll be there with my buddy Matt again.

So what's our head count now, 7?
28  Eternal Formats / Creative / Re: Red/Black Aggro-Control AkA...Ballin' on a budget on: December 16, 2014, 11:29:37 am
I'd ditch the rituals so you can go all in on Pyromancer.  Ingot chewer is probably better served in your sideboard. Those combined open slots could be for the cabal therapies that this deck is begging for.

Your deck reminds me of Forino tendrils, from back in the day:

29  Vintage Community Discussion / General Community Discussion / Re: Vintage Streams on: December 12, 2014, 05:00:13 pm
I was thinking of doing some streaming but I would find things would get really exciting, like I would have a hand of Grudge, Fire, Chewer, and Ponder, and then my stream would get really bad lag.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaa

4x Not of This World
I know this protects marrit lage, but it feels reaaaaaaly narrow.  Have you considered maxing out on thoughtsieze and adding missteps, duresses or (heaven forbid) hymn to tourachs in place of these? More proactive disruption would protect your combo, but also disrupt your opponents gameplan if the situation calls for it.

For instance, if both players are in top-deck mode, would you rather draw Not of this World, wait, and hope to draw into the combo pieces, or would you want to disrupt your opponent's game plain via duress/thoughtsieze/hymn while waiting to win?
