I would be stoked to see this on MTGO. I love this format as it lets me jam one of my favorite cards "Juzam Djinn". I'm actually currently trying to make a deck in paper just for the fun of it but it's fairly extensive tracking down all those beautiful cards.

Its getting harder to find the staples, at reasonable prices anyways. Lots of stuff has doubled, tripled, sometimes more, since the oldschool tourney at champs. The stuff that hasn't jumped has become harder to find in general. I'm personally racing to get as much stuff as I can, as fast as I can.

It really is. There's been a lot of times where I've had to just skip out on deals entirely because the paper prices are getting so expensive. As it turns out paying rent and bills is a smart thing to do!  Very Happy

I was surprised by Kevin's enthusiasm for Kozilek. Emrakul is miles better on every axis except casting cost. Even in Omni-Tell I would play Emrakul over Kozilek any day of the week, as the 15 damage attack + sac 6 wins the game on the spot 90% of the time, and in the few cases where the opponent sacs 6, deals with whatever other spells I cast during my free turn, and still manages to untap and win the game (e.g. opponent has tons of life, a mentor, and an army of tokens), it's hard to imagine Kozilek faring much better.

My favorite part of casting emrakul (with or without omniscience) is the"can not be countered" clause. No fussing around with Force, just a flying spaghetti monster 👾.

That's what I thought too. Emmy is too good not to dump off Omniscience. The card draw from Kozilek is nice but you don't have to dump cards to protect Emrakul like you do for Kozilek. Plus you have almost a guaranteed swing with Emrakul, which is devastating beyond repair in most situations I'd wager.

For some odd reason I have never tinkered up Steel Wind, I have no idea why, I always try to jam Vault haha. I just played a few games with the Spheres and Im really liking them so far but I'll definitely run a few more matches. I really enjoy this deck so far.

That makes sense, I kind of just really wanted to jam it because Sphinx and all that jazz. So you would mainboard a Toxic Deluge? That seems fairly effective, against both Aggro Shops and Mentor. How often do you find yourself casting Sphinx of the Steel Wind? I can't seem to get it to hit the field unless I show and tell it.

Sweet, can't wait to listen to this on the drive tomorrow. I'm excited to hear about Jori En.

Have you playtested the new sphinx from oath? It could be a solid finisher. What changes would you make with the Chalice restrictions? Does the changing of shops style decks influence this decks viability?

Thanks everyone for the responses, it really helped. And Sorry for Necro'ing a thread, I just saw the Q and A title and shot off a question  before seeing the dates.

I have a question, and I feel like it's incredibly basic but I need to know regardless.

When is the best time to cast Gush? I want to get into Gushbond but I really can't figure out how to efficiently use Gush.
