July 28th at noon. Altered States in Syracuse, New York www.alteredsts.comCheck events schedules then the month's calender. They've only had problems getting 25 once, and that was on the same day as a PTQ and a JSS(which was running intheir store :\. Most of the players i'm expecting are unpowered. Mostly sligh, bad aggro and reanimator decks ;\. There should be 5-6 fully(or mostly powered) powered players coming up from my area, so the tournament will be interesting at least(Last time it was 3 powered players, me and the 2 guys who I went with. Guess who won the tournament ) I know most people on this board won't make it, but if anyone does, be sure to say hey if you see me. |

We played each other in the first round. Game 3 ended up in a topdecking battle (after what I believe was a large Balance, iirc) in which I got the first morphling, so I won. I believe we were the only two people playing keeper at that tourney. I'm the one with the piercings in my face.

Carl--Yes I did. You beat me horribly first round . I must say, I was topdecking poo that round . Hopefully, I'll get my revenge if I make it up to this one.
mpd--Ah yes, I remember now. I completly forgot about that other tournament. I usually forget things 2 months or so after I get finished with them . Those were some good games. I really wasn't expecting anybody else there to have power, or even know what true T1 is. And of course I was shocked when I got paired against you first round with fully powered Keeper . It was odd, as they only cut to Top4, correct? I remember I missed the cut by just a smidge.

I played Carl Devos' twister.dec (there's a report up on his site.) I would have played real academy, but i don't have my Candelabras anymore, since some douchebag stole them.
Not sure if i'll be there this month. I'll try to make it, though.

I live in NYC and don't have a car but for a $150 tourney, I am still interested.
I will find out how much metro north, amtrack and grayhound will coast to get me there. I thinkn it will be more than what I will be willing to pay but I will check.
Could anyone give me a lift to and from NYC?
Does Syracuse have a local transportation system, I don't want to get to the bus or tain station for Amtrack, metro north or Grayhound and learn that the store is on the other side of the city and learn I can't get there then.

Yes, Syracuse has a Bus system, but I am unsure as to wether it runs near the store. If you ask for directions to the Spaghetti Warehouse, you should actually be able to walk there once you get into the Greyhound station. Also, there is a train station attached to the Greyhound station, but I don't know what train runs there. That one is within walking distance.
