We've got a good portion of the Binghamton crew if everything goes well. As long as we can iron out the transportation kinks, it'll at least be CrazyCarl, our associate Smack, and myself coming from NY.
We'd probly be able to pick up a couple of other people along the way as long as we're not Greyhounding it.

Quote (LoA @ Aug. 01 2002,13:41)Well, I get back to lovely Concord, NH (Contoocook actually, but how many people actually can pronounce that, let alone know where it is) on August 28 after spending 7 months in Germany and my playing skills are so rusty facing me is pretty much an auto-bye. Still, if it gets bumped later than the original date (and not Labor Day weekend) I will be there. DUDE!!! While I was born and raised in Concord, I actually lived in Hopkinton (read:Contoocook) for a few years and graduated in 1995 from Hopkinton High Oh, I have these things like every other week, plus Im willing to play almost whenever. Its just the mox ones i have like once a month or so.

Okay, so far everything is on schedule. I just took the weekend of the 16th off from work and nobody else has any commitments that I know of.
Just keeping everyone informed.
Also, I just liberated another George Clinton tape from the $3.99 tape bin at The Wall/FYE (or whatever it is) for the long ride up.
We've been missing the funk for the past few tourneys that the crew has made the trek to, hence the poor records/lack of wins.

Dude, I think we oughta give these guys SOME chance. Right now, it'll be a good contest. But with George Clinton on our side, the funkz0rz will just make it completely unfair.

(Total aside that only Zherbus could appreciate)
Well, I live on Gould Hill Rd., which is in Contoocook for mailing purposes but Hopkinton for tax purposes, go figure. Even worked as a stock boy at the Cracker Barrel for a few summers. (Went to St. Paul's School, but the Concord school system before that). Playing some serious Type 1 would be so wicked pissa awesome
(/end aside)
Well, I am going to have to miss this one, but I will try to make any and all tournaments in the future.

Proxy Type 1 Tournament: There will be a PROXY Type 1 tournament on SUNDAY, August 18th, 2002. (1 PM)[/i] Prize’s will be determined according to the number of players. If we have over 16, first place is an UL Mox Ruby, Second place place will be determoned by number of entrants. Rounds will be swiss style, cutting to a top 8 or 4, after 4 rounds. Entry for this tourney is $10. The format will be DCI Type 1, and proxies allowed are the “Power Ten” only. Cards you can Proxy Black Lotus Mox Jet Mox Pearl Mox Sapphire Mox Emerald Mox Ruby Ancestral Recall Timetwister Time Walk Library of Alexandria All Other cards, dual lands, demonic tutors, regrowths, strip mines, etc will be required to own as any normal tournament. www.essentialmagic.com has an excellent proxy feature I recommend for all to utilize. New card sets are allowed in Type 1 tournaments once they qualify for DCI-sanctioned tournaments.

Zherbus, I think we're going to need directions and contact info in the event that we get lost. If you wouldn't mind, email me or CrazyCarl and we can get it all straightened out. My email, to avoid hassle and any sort of effort, is: ahappyclown@yahoo.comAaah, the weekend is nearly upon us...

I know this is pretty far in advance, but considering the size of the shindig you wanna have, why not plan something for when everyone is going to be on christmas break? Im sure thatd make it a HELL of a lot easier on a lot of people(including me because it may mean I actually have a ride.)
Just a thought..

Christmas break, you say? I say hell yeah! It woudl rock if Carl, Kl0wn, Jason, Rob, etc could make it then too... Well need a bigger place if we got Chuck and Spin coming, and if for some reason Redman and CooberP could make it... I thought I Type 1'd myself out that night with only 6 of us. Oh, congrats to Carl who won.

Quote Price will be a mox ruby. That's one expensive tournament? How many mox rubys does one man need? And if it takes a mox to get in, what kind of a prize does the winner get? First off, it was obviously a typo. Secondly its a Month and a half old - WHY ARE YOU UPPING THIS OLD THREAD? Finally what kind of free time do you have to read dried up, old threads and point out typos?
