I'm thinking about holding a T1 for an emerald here in San Diego, but I'm curious as to how many people in the area would be willing to come.  Cuz I'm really not trying to lose money.  Lemme know if you're in the area and would be willing to play.

Well, my SoCal crew was recently informed of a T1 tourney in San Diego on  Mondays, and we were thinking about going for that.  I'd say personally I'd be interested, assuming I can get some of my clan to make the journey with me.

yes, there's an unsanctioned T1 on Mondays at Balboa Park, I think it has like a 2 proxy limit.  There's also a sanctioned T1 at Wizards of the Coast Plaza Bonita on Saturdays, and from what I'm hearing, there's a once a month tournament starting this Saturday(tomorrow) in La Jolla.

As far as entry fee, I was thinking $8 would be good for the mox tournament.  That way if I can get at least 15 people, I'm breaking even on the mox, and I hope to get more than that(hopefully enough to cover the cost of renting space too).

How's this looking like it'll go, Mike?  I'll gladly play (assuming I can get Emerald Alice together)

Off Topic:
Oh, and are you really never going to play Sligh again?

Mike, I'll show up and play, it sounds like fun, alsoit my be a recruiting zone for new type one players who would like to join.  I'll show up if you get one going and $8 sounds like a good and fair price for entry.

Well, I'm playing Sligh in the ToC, however, I did lose a bet to Chris, and the end result is I'm not allowed to play Sligh.  Ever.  So no, I will not be playing Sligh again.  I would like to state for the record that I shouldn't have played WW yesterday, the deck absolutely BLOWS.  I'm talking with Don, a dealer who rents space at Balboa about possibly doing weekly Friday T1, and I'm going to talk to the guy in charge of renting out space this week, and see what I can do.  I'm looking at doing the tournament the Friday after next, but that's not set in stone yet(that would be August 9th).

I'd just like to reiterate that White Weenie absolutely sucks balls.  It is definitely not a replacement for Sligh... =(

Why the hell did you make that bet?  What was the bet, anyway?  August 9th would be cool.  Also, White Weenie DOES suck balls.  And there is NO replacement for Sligh...

I can't, cuz I work Sunday through Thursday nights.  Well, I'll probably be there at the end of the tournament, if I get off work in time.

It's ok, I may have lost sligh, but you've forced me into playing dragon now, and sooner or later(probably sooner), you'll be begging for me to pick sligh up again. =)

That's 4 days from now, does it look like it's going to happen?  If so, where and what time?

I haven't gotten ahold of the contact for renting the Chess Club, so the answer is probably no.  Actually, it's definitely no, I want to make sure I have a few days to promote this shit, since I'm putting up my own power for it.  I ran into Don at Comic-con, but I didn't get contact information, I went to have my Forces signed, and he disappeared before I got back.  Of course, I work nights, so I couldn't stop by on Monday night to talk to him.  On the bright side, I'm looking into picking up the original artwork for Lim-Dul's Vault.
