Prologue: I am considering Void, Gro, ABM, and Reanimator 'aggro' decks for this analysis. The Pox deck goes under Control, and I am also lumping all Mishra's Workshop decks together.
WHO WON?
Aggro:combo matchups went 5:2 in aggro's favor.
Control:combo matchup went 1:0 in control's favor.
Aggro:control matchups went 5:3, in aggro's favor.
There were ten aggro:aggro matchups.
There were zero combo:combo matchups.
There was one control:control matchup.
Another way of looking at it:
Aggro had 10 wins, 5 losses, ten 'mirrors'.
Combo had 2 wins, 6 losses, zero 'mirrors'.
Control had 4 wins, 5 losses, one 'mirror'.
Specific Decktypes
(win-loss-mirror match)
Workshop Decks: 5-1-1
Suicide: 3-2-1
Sligh: 2-2-0
Gro: 2-2-0
Enchantress: 2-1-0
Keeper: 2-3-0
Non-Keeper, blue-based Control: 4-0-0

What do the numbers suggest?
Combo decks are losing out in a big way, in a field of aggro - is this entirely due to Apprentice's shuffler, or is there some other weakness?
Non-Keeper control decks are winning BIG - can we blame this on Keeper hate, or better skill at choosing a deck?
Any predictions about the rest of the tournament?

That's neat to see. Thanks for posting the breakdown MTG (not to be confused w/ M:TG  )). I say it is too early for predictions, I wonder what the Vegas odds are? lol |

I was the only Sligh deck to win first round? I mean, I know this is a Stacker heavy field, but 3 Sligh decks lost?!?!? I know Kaplan played ABM, what were the other Sligh matchups?

About combo losing, I think it has a large part of being paired up against SuiBlack.

No, combo should be able to fair well aginst sui. My first round opponent was Sui, which I won 2-0 (playing Twisted Dreams mind you). You just have to go off before the Null Rod, and MD abeyance realy help on this match-up

Not Turboland....That is it's only real weakness (as in getting continually beaten weakness). I know that I lost to SuiBlack, and another combo player lost to SuiBlack (not sure who though).\n\n

Well, i lost round 2 1-2. Aginst Urphidian, I would of won the round if he didn draw time walk into blood moon. My deck almost beat urphidian! Good luck NargoT

Whoops, Sligh went 2-2. I had SpikeyMikey as a loss, sorry about that.
Sligh won vs. Enchantress and U/B/W aggro-control, lost vs. Nether Void and ABM.
Wow, of the three Enchantress decks, only the G/W 'old school' deck won.
