Radagast and I have no trouble finding opportunities to play even though the Atlantic Ocean is between us.
Game 1. He plays first. He impressed me by drawing a total of 17 cards by his second turn. Nimble, Birds and Werebears happen. Keg blows some 1cc's up. Edict gets the Werebear. Abyss wrecks some fatties. Monastery eats a Psionic Blast. I Mold 2 islands instead of Abyss. No Enforcers show up for awhile. Sigh. Morphlings happen. My cookie crumbles fast thereafter. Game 1 to Rad and his Shapeshifters. [Oops, I guess I should have tried to Mold The Abyss.]
Game 2. We each SB'd 3-5 cards. He sbs out Duress and MisDir I presume. I open with trusty Birds. We each drop a Keg. He Forces my turn 3 Wumpus removing Morphie from the game - yummy. I Keg away his Moxen. He Kegs my 2 Birds. (Fair) Mongoose and Werebear happen still 1/1's. He Tutors for a Sol Ring. Lil beats happen. Wumpus resolves = free Morphie for him. [Razor says:'Green is sooo busted'] Beats happen. Abyss happens again. Werebear gets sac'd. More fat beats. He is at 6 life. City of Solitude hits. [Radagast says:'vvv ow'] I sac Wumpus to Abyss - yay, threshold for Moogie! I play Aura Shards. Here is my favourite part during my eighth turn:
Quote Nimble Mongoose is attacking.
Radagast buries Morphling.
Razor buries Nimble Mongoose.
Morphling is my favourite forced chump-blocker. Enforcer (fat Elvis) finally shows up (for the first and last time this match) and shoots the Sol Ring with Aura Shards. He has 2 mana left on the board. Skeletal Scrying doesn't save him. Game 2 to Razor and his jank.
Game 3 (The game log got corrupted so this is sketchier). Back and forth. Wumpus grants him an early free Morphie. Edict wrecks Wumpus. Abyss wrecks everyone but the Moogie. My boys and toys mostly go away. None of my trusty Enforcers or Genesis say hello. I keep him low on mana and at zero cards and he doesn't attack for awhile. Back to Basics followed by Mind Twist seals my fate. His lone Morphie finally goes the distance. He wins with 13 life. Game 3 to Rad.
I hope for a rematch in the Top 8. To Rad's credit, he was a very polite opponent and prevented all of my 'Geddon attempts. I didn't see either Genesis in any of my 45+ draws this matchup. I hope to see Enforcers show up more often, too.
To the rest of you in the ToC6, please post your results here - they are a blast to read.
