I will (most likely) be in the Minneapolis area for the weekend of Oct 5-6th fo rthe Comic book convention there, and was wondering if there will be any Type 1 tourney's there.
If anyone has any leads please let me know.

Does the convention have a web-site/published itinerary?

Nothing as far as I know.
There's the Game-Tech Friday night T1 on the 4th.
And Dreamer's big T1 isn't until Sunday the 13th I think.

The website for the convention is:
mncba.com
But it doesn't have anythink on there about magic tourneys or nothing.
I was primarily looking to see if maybe some of you in the local area know of any tourneys on those nights near the hotel that the con is at.
Thanks.

Well, I live in Minneapolis, but the only T1 tournys I play there are the tourny's on the second sunday of each month at Dreamers. I'd like to know of other tourny's as well.

Were you at the last one Kheoinn? I think it was for the Sapphire.
One of these days everyone that plays around Mpls should get together so we can meet each other.
So far I think there's 5 people that post here that play at Dreamer's.

So do you all mean to tell me; If I get up the money to drive/fly my happy ass all of the way to Minneapolis, that there will be NO t1 tourneys there, at the con, or nearby for that whole weekend?
sheesh... lame.
Now I don't even know if I will go.
I was kinda shakey before, but I thought, that at least I would be able to get in some T1.

About the only thing going on that weekend would be Game-Tech's Friday Night T1.
Otherwise there isn't anything I know of.
But, maybe some of us around the Twin Cities could get together and we could just play and meet ya or something.

http://www.game-tech.org/They have a map there. Tournaments start at 6:30 PM on Fridays. It's nowhere near where you're staying, but if you have some time to kill on Friday it's an option. The metagame is pretty much aggro. There are a handful of good players with good decks there on any given night, a handful of kids with no clue, and then everyone else in between. It's a good environment, and the people are really nice. -- Jim

I'll try that some time. I'd be one of the kids with no clue . I think I'm the only person in the entire world who has managed to start when M:tg started, and have all of their cards worth under 10 dollars still.
