I see that Void defeated Grow in the finals. Rock on! This is actually a matchup in favor of the Void deck anyway. That is evidence to all those who say that Grow is the best type 1 deck that it IS beatable!

Void is a personal favorite of mine as well, rock on mattdog!

I have a question on this goblin sligh deck. What the heck is it? Is it similar to that of the one that top 8ed at Gen Con? If so, why the Ball Lightnings? Aren't they drain food?

This environment looks very strong. Crazy Card and Comics posts these reports every weekend, its amazing how much local support they get for type 1. Hats off to you!

@ StellarKid - the Goblin sligh decks look to be almost card for card the same as the top 8 at GenCon, at least main deck.

@ Zherbus - his deck looked very similar to the Nether Void Primer, maybe 1-2 cards off.  I won't comment on his sideboard since I don't know if he would care or not...

Dante

PS we've dubbed the Grow deck that came in 2nd "The Worst Grow Deck Ever" - I'll have more in my tournament report later today.

The Goblin deck I used is exactly the same as the one that Top 4ed at Gencon. I should know becuase I was the one who let my friend Sam play it at Gencon. Again it proves to be a good build although it couldn't beat a first turn nether void.

Sligh has a hard time against Void anyways. Its a tough matchup, especially post board when you are staring at Masticores, Voids, Hymns, and Kegs.
