I forgot to save the logs except for the last game. So shoot me.
Game 1 dragged on for quite some time until Acolytec went into triple Oath recursion with me having a lowly Dreadnought on the board. I tried to beat down hard with my Dreadnought, but Spike Weaver doesn't give a pregnant hooker about how big your fat is.
Game 2 was decided when Acolytec threw out an Oath while at 9 life. I only had a lame-ass Skitterring Skirge in play and 3 Dreadnoughts in hand with no Mask (Acolytec countered my early Mask earlier). I ripped a savage Mishra off the top of my library and decided to get cute with it.
/aside Me playing Type 1 involves a lot of gambling. I figure, hey...if you're going to win, then you should do it with style. If you're going to lose, then you should lose while trying to win with style. Despite the fact that Acolytec was running 4 Naturalizes, 3 Kegs and lord knows how many Woodrippers after sideboarding, not to mention the standard compliment of Strips/Wastes and ANY creature in his deck would have shut my savage, swinging manland down, I figured I'd take a chance and go at him with Mishra. Afterall, we were both in topdecking mode, and he'd probably build up his hand again by the time I could find a Mask to dump my fat with. /aside
I SUMMONED a Phyrexian Dreadnought to his doom so that I could kill my Skirge and avoid the Oath. Then I dropped my Mishra and started swinging. Oh yes, he went all the way. For five turns, Acolytec saw nothing but land and counterspells. This was probably the most insane thing that I'll ever do in a game of Magic. Think about it... WTF?!?!? WHO WINS LIKE THAT?!?!?
Game 3 my opening hand consited of 2 Black sources, an Unmask and another Black card to pitch to it, a Dystopia, and a Planar Void. I figured that I might as well hate the hell out of Oath if I couldn't draw any business and kept the hand. A couple of turns later, I set up Necro and went to town, finishing this dirty cheesefest with 2 Dreadnoughts and a Timewalk.
I shall now offer my condolences to Acolytec for the many times that his deck died on him in games 2 and 3. Sorry mang. You must have used up all of your juice in game 1.
This thing is far from over though.\n\n
