I've decided to take a break from domain for awhile, and was just wondering if any of you could suggest deck for me. I've been experimanting with an enchantress build and have been toying with a LD deck for awhile also. If there aref any new ideas out there, I'd also like to see those.

In other news, here's my 2 cents on the B/R list discussion:

1. Unban Chaos Orb and Falling Star.

With the proper errata stating exactly how the card is to be fipped, neither of these will be a problem. Falling Star would be very average (possibly below) and while Chaos Orb might get placed on the watch list for awhile, I don't thinlk it would be too unbalancing for the format.

2. Restrict Living Wish.

This can fetch an Academy for 2 mana with no drawback. It also protects the Academy player from being Capped or Rootwater Theived out of the card, since it would be run in the sideboard. Or it could be used to retrieve a Capped Academy.

3. Unrestrict Recall

As everyone has said before, something this card-disadvantagous would only be run as a one-of by certian combos, and even then, Nostalgic Dreams from Torment is better because of its lower cost.

4. Leave Restricted: Doomsday and Hurkyl's Recall

While neither has much intuitive brokenness, Doomsday decks could become quite dangerous if the card became unrestricted, making it easier to set up an infinite turn loop, or just dig out a smaller combo faster. Hurkyl's Recall was restricted because it can (in theory) allow a player with multiple Moxen to gather a sizable ammount of mana on his or her first turn. Granted, this is highly unlikely, but with 4 available, it could be very easy to set up a loop for infinite mana that could kill quite easily before turn 5. (If anyone doesn't see this, I'll be glad to explain.)

Um, no. This just makes the deck worse. And if people are capping out the Academy, then they deserve to lose (after all, the deck only has 2 win conditions...)

So?  Any good combo deck goldfishes by turn 4 or 5 easily.  If it didn't, aggro decks would beat it, thus defeating the purpose of playing a combo deck.

if they make chaos orb and falling star legal they might as well make unglued tournament legal.  Wouldn't that be hell.

Hahaha, sheer brilliance right there.   I agree that Falling Star and Chaos Orb should stay where they are. Basically Chaos Orb just encourages people to play with all their cards spread 6 inches apart from each other on the table, which is just a waste of space and would make things difficult for everyone.

If you don't mind, could you please explain the Moxen + Hurkyl's Recall combo?  I've never heard of the combo, and have always heard that Hurkyl's Recall was restricted for different reasons (which I don't know off the top of my head).

It was restricted for its abusiveness in the following deck:

5x moxes
4x mana vault
4x mana crypt
4x hurkyl's
4x prosperity
The rest is pretty obvious.

Back then the vault and crypt were unrestricted. Eventually, they got restricted too.

Morefling:  what's gbs?

RanciD: Glad you liked it.  Australian Rules has been a personal joke of mine for years.  I am tempted to actually make up the cards.
