I promised Razer51 that I was going to report on how I did in a tourney (non-sanctioned) he held for a box of darksteel, so here it goes.

Round one: Rg vs  bad Mono Black (no shade, no negators, no will)

I ran the bash and he had no answers for it.

Round two: Rg vs Keeper (no sceptors)

Game one, my hand was bad. I shouldn't have kept it. Turn one mox ruby, taiga, cast dryad, pass the turn. Keeper, wastelands my taiga. I didn't see another land until turn 4 and it was a wasteland. He, by this time, had casted recall, and dealt with my 1/1. I conceded and went to game 2. Games two and three, I resolved null rod and blood moon. I had creatures out, not much he could do.

Round three: Keeper with intuition and AKs and no sceptor.

Game one, I saw many creatures. He got mana screwed. We went on to Game 2. Game two, I kept a hand with 1 blood moon, 1 tangle wire, 1 null rod, 1 wooded foothills, 1 lightning bolt,  2 wastelands and 1 stripmine.
He went 1st, played a flooded strand passed the turn. I played my foothills passed the turn. He fetched for a tundra, played a mox ruby, passed the turn. At his end step, I fetched for a mountain and bolted him. My turn, I wasteland the tundra and passed the turn. He drew a card, passed the turn. I played a wasteland, casted null rod, said go. He drew a card, discarded something, said go. I played my blood moon, he didn't have force. It looked like game. He took his turn, played a land, that turned into a non-basic mountain Very Happy  and said go. I unloaded my hand of creatures, said go.  The rest of the match was me beating him to death and him not drawing an answer to blood moon or creatures.

Round four: Rg vs sligh (Razer51)

We drew but played for fun anyway. As you might haved guessed, this was my better match up of the day, not to mention that really bad sui black.

top 8 (with 12 people)
I lost 1st round to mono green LD. The deck he played was bad. I made a bunch of side boarding mistakes, and player mistakes. I let him take back something that would of mattered, but oh well, I guess I shouldn't be nice when I play anymore.

the deck list
//NAME: zoo 2.0
SB: 3 Naturalize
SB: 3 Artifact Mutation
SB: 4 Blood Moon
SB: 4 Tormod's Crypt
SB: 1 fire/ice
4 Mountain
1 mox ruby
1 mox emerald
3 Forest
1 Strip Mine
4 Wasteland
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Taiga
3 Null Rod
3 Grim Lavamancer
4 Quirion Dryad
4 Tangle Wire
4 Chain Lightning
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Fire/Ice
2 Incinerate
4 Gorilla Shaman
4 Kird Ape
4 River Boa

I know it was supposed to be budget and all... I borrowed the power. I used from "Mr. Big," just to see if it would make a difference, and it did! It was great synergy with my null rods main deck!  Rolling Eyes But all in all, it didn't matter. The extra mountain and forest over the power is way better than the power, I guess. Try it yourself and see. Thats my report. Bye.

PS: If you know how to sideboard, I can use suggestions!

Nice report, sucks you lost, land destruction is a bad matchup for R/G beats (I play both).

As for your sideboard, 4 red elemental blasts are a must when you're facing any blue control deck. Maybe even 2 or 3 xantid swarms. Also, you didn't mention any Dragon so why 4 Tormonds Crypt? Bloodmoons and Artifact Mutation are great in the sideboard vs. control and workshops respectively. For reference this is my sideboard (or something close to it), it is designed to face workshops and control:

4 Naturalize/Artifact Mutation
4 REB's
4 Xantid Swarm
3 Null Rods

Good luck and happy posting,

Nice deck. Wouldn't it be beneficial to have Cursed Scroll? They can deal with a lot of different stuff, and also be able to provide some hard beatings - a ten turn clock with no hand Razz

Cursed Scroll and Null Rod are not a combo.
He already has Grim Lavamancer.
