This being the only place I can post anything, I figured I would put the topic up for discussion.  I can see the potential need for keeping random people off some boards to keep the quality of posts up, but seriously look what is being asked.  The qualifications required to start a new post are more strenuous than the requirements to write and article for a major non magic web site that pays free lance writers.  

So, I must concede that it might make sense to restrict the high level discussion boards to certain members only... but why the tournament annoucements?  I could be giving away a mox to every person that enters the a free tournament, but I can't tell anyone because the tournament annoucements board is too special for us normal people who don't sit on the net for hours to be able to login to and update some tournament information?

Does anyone else agree with this?  Please let someone know that can change things. I'd like to be able to tell people I'm giving away free stuff.

The t1 forum is good how it is. Idiots on the forum make it worse.

If you read the front page, you would see that anyone can post on the tourney page.
