Some lyrics, even out of context, are just fucking cool.  Here's a couple of my favorites.

From Jesse Dangerously's Jane Purves, on the topic of public education:
"Promised brain sex, but settled for mind fucks."

From Liz Phair's Why Can't I, a really poppy upbeat song you'd expect from a female vocalist in the mid nineties
"Here we are, we're at the beginning; We haven't fucked yet, but my head's spinning"

From Alkaline Trio's Crawl
"Never had a drink that I didn't like;  Got a taste of you, threw up all night"

From the Dropkick Murphys' The Dirty Glass
"You poured me my pain in a dirty glass."

A favorite of my girlfriend's, from Type O Negative's Christian Woman:
"Jesus Christ looks like me."

Share your song lyrics!  Even if they don't seem like they make any sense in this format, someone will probably appreciate them.

No one's gonna appeciate em but I really don't care.

This ones for Cividel mostly
From Jewel - I'm Sensitive, the whole song is weird and quotable stuff.
"I was thinking, that it might do some good
If we robbed the cynics and took all their food"

These aren't the actual lyrics from the song, but this was the way I heard it, and it's just cooler like this
Lisa Loeb - Snow Day
"First by mime, then by music,
you'll make this all less confusing"

I just love this song, just makes me smile.
Michelle Branch - You Get Me
"So I'm a little left of center
I'm a little out of tune
Some say I'm paranormal
So I just bend their spoon"

But since no one will ever see this thread it doesn't really matter.

TMD ORACLE: "Did I tell you about how I blacked out the other day and started undoing my belt?"
