here is my friends decklist for TnT, he was looking for opinions

pyrostatic pillar is a must have in this deck.  it's much better than chalice.   put the chalice's in the side for long, and put some pillars main deck.  I play four and wouldn't think of going below three.

Enigmuh - I've played TnT for awhile, here are some suggestions for your friend:

first off, if you're going to go blue, then go blue and add Ancestral and Time walk, as well as TINKER!!  One lonely wastable island isn't worth it, especially for Wonder.  If you're going to add blue, you'll need at least 3 trops plus fetchlands.  I would recommend RG though.

2nd, Darksteel Colossus can't be welded, so it has to be hardcast.  It's not really going to happen enough to be a difference.  Use phyrexian colossus instead (or is that what he meant).

3rd, Masticore is going to be useful against sligh, venguer (birds), and suicide, but a second triskelion is going to be more useful and has better recursion.

4th - without traditional control decks (keeper, Hulk) in your list below, gorilla shaman is going to be a chump blocker in most cases, you might consider cutting him from the main.

sideboard - from the list below, your toughest matchups are venguer mask, stax, and rector trix, but your sideboard barely addresses those matchups.  4 Bottle gnomes is waaay too many.  1-2 will be just fine.  The pentavus is kind of random and unfocused.  For stax, you need instant speed artifact destruction, 1 elvish scrapper isn't gonna do it.  On the pillars and bloodmoons, if you're going to run them sideboard, you need at least 3 copies.  based on the lack of control and only maybe longs, i would use bloodmoons but not pillars.

I would have a sideboard something like:

2 Bottle Gnomes
3 Blood Moon
3 REB
4 Artifact destruction (natualize, rack and ruin, artifact mutation)
2 Tormod's crypt

maindeck, - Wonder, - Darksteel Colossus, - Masticore, - Shaman, + Triskelion, + Phyrexian Colossus, + 4th Chalice, +4th Su-chi.

I play TnT and that's what I think:

1. I dont use blue, so I dont use wonder and I can fetch all my color lands with w_foothills. Using a tropical you cant retrieve it via simulacrum, and that's no good.

2. I put MD 4Xpillars, helps alot with blue based draw control, and rector.

3. I use 3XBlood Moon MD, very useful for most matchups, very useless for sui black, sligh and maybe parfait.

4. I use 1xmasticore, but I use 4xSu-chi. I like to add one 1st turn drop (mox-workshop or lotus).

5. I really like 2xtriskelion, in my meta where workshop based is going strong, I fear alot artifact mutation and trisk can avoid the risk.

6. I like Phyr colossus - quirion interaction, but I dont use it anymore.

7. You have to think about memory jar and wheel of fortune, I use the wheel like you, but I really dont know why.

8. I dont know if 4xCotV are better than 4xpillar and 3xBloodMoon, but worth a try.

9. about SB: I agree with Dante for all but bottle gnomes. In my meta there's no more illusion donate based combo, and dragon and tendril can easy bypass the gnomes.
My SB is:

2xtormod's
3xREB
3xJester's Cap (still testing)
3xsphere of resistence (I use MD blood moons)

that's my opinion, anyway.
