Now is it just me or is this guy a little behind the times?  Rector Tendrils best deck?  Also Living Wish and ESG?  Anybody have any experience with that?

Was wondering when I read it.

I mean Rector is powerful and probably stable but I never thought it to be THE type 1 deck to beat.

Did you miss the thread mocking the guy.

He didn't make long.dec. Heck, long didn't make long.dec. A lot of people made a lot of similar decks once the idea of wish + LED clicked. If anyone made it public/popular, it was semmycakes.

It reminds me of that Rakso article where he quoted Weissman talking about Rector. Except that this is much sadder.

Yeah, Weissman and Kryzwicki both say that Rector is too good.  It MUST be too good then.  Wink.

Kryzwicki DID make long.dec though!  He just wrote 1 and not 30 articles about how good it was

I still don't get his Rector claims though. I was uber-surprised Knut put anything about that being a "new" deck on his front page. *Maybe* the Living Wish idea is new, but it's also baaaad AFAIK.

Just looks like starcity is looking for something to take up space until Steve, Carl, JP or Oscar write another article and make their site plausable again.

Now, Rector Tendrils is a good deck, but here is one that don't know what he is talking about. Just notice the Lion's Eye Diamond. Very good to draw 20 cards just to discard them, I promise you that Smile Regrding green, we have actually tested it, but not for living Wish, but for Xantid Swarm and Carpet of Flowers. It worked reasonably well, but manan screewed us more than it helped so green was soon out. The deck has also to bad card economy for ESG other than when you have Barigain in play and then you'll win anyhow. Hope we don't have to read such articles any more!

I'm pretty sure that he's going to float some mana THEN draw the 20 cards.

Mabey he wants to discard all those cards, I mean it would make for one heck of a dramatic Yawgmoth's will... lol

People really shouldn't be allowed to post when they are drunk.  (See above post.)  We need a breathalizer for TMD!!!
