Ok, so I JUST threw it together b/c I was bored and ended out with this deck. To tell you right now, YES, it's unpowered and no, I have no cash for the hogh priced stuff, i can't even get my hands on a damn Mana Drain. anywho, on to the deck:

Creatures: 16
3x Goblin Welder (working on 4th)
3x Juggernaut
3x Grim Lavamancer
3x Mogg Fanatic
1x Karn, Silver Golem (getting one more)
3x Vedalken Archmage (honestly, i had no idea where I was going with these)

Support: 19
4x Tangle Wire
2x Mindslaver (oh comeon, you know their fun)
4x Counterspell
3x Pyrite Spellbomb
2x Cursed Scroll
4x Lightning Bolt

Draw:
1x Memory Jar
1x Fact or FIction
4x Standstill

Land:
2x City of Brass
1x Tolarian Academy
2x Volcanic Island
2x Mishra's Fatory (getting 2 more)
2x Mountain
2x Island
4x Great Furnace
4x Seat of Synod

Sideboard: (a.k.a.- Joke)
2x Tormod's Crypt
2x Gorilla Shaman
1x Blood Moon
3x Red Elemental Blast
1x MIshra's Helix
1x Urza's blueprints
1x Winter Orb
1x reshape *shrugs*

I went 4-1 with it, lost to solid MBC. (Sinkholes + Hymns = SUCK!) But I'm over it. The only cards I sideboarded in were the 2x Tormod's Crypt, which actually saved me the game to another MBC deck, that lacked the power the one I lost to had. Anywho, not really heading into any direction, just want to make it all around better. I'll leave it like this until I can get my smokestacks. Thanks for any and all advice. (I'd type down how the games went, but the only good deck I played that's worth talking about was the one I lost too)
Right off the bat, i'm thinking about dropping the archmage's for basic lands.

Mana Base:

Definately get more Volcanic Islands, and replace the City of Brass and the Mishra's Factories.

Get Ancient Tomb. They are still cheap.

Think about getting artifact mana. Sol Ring, Grim Monolith, Mana Vault and Lotus Petal are VERY cheap, and if you can spare it, $12-15 for a Mana Crypt definately helps. You have some serious artifact power, and you want it down fast.

If this would be serious Type 1, you will face Pernicious Deeds and Powder Kegs, and Gorilla Shaman and the like, and having 8 artifact land is definately detrimental. If you get 4 Volcanics and 4 Fetchlands, I think you can safely remove a few of those, and even put in Darksteel Citadels. Those things would definately stabilitze the deck.

Lock:

Spheres (of Resistance, or Trinisphere) can help you against some of the harder matchups.

Damage:

I don't think you need Lavamancers, Fanatics, Spellbombs, Lightning Bolt and Cursed Scroll. You'll never outrace an aggro deck like that. Take some out (keep the Scrolls), and put more lock components. Lavamancers don't like Welders and vice-versa.

Creatures:

Get a 4th Welder, and put in 4 Juggernauts. Maybe 1-2 Triskelion.

That's about it for now.

If you're running the artifact lands, what about Myr Enforcer or Thirst for Knowledge?

I'd be real careful playing eater of days.  you can't really play it in copetative magic without your lock down and if you have your lock down you won't need him to make the kill.  karn should be sufficient.

ok, after all the news and from the cards that I currently have, I readjusted the deck like this:

Creatures: 13
3x Goblin Welder (working on 4th)
2x Eater of Days
3x Juggernaught
3x Grim Lavamancer
1x Karn, Silver Golem (getting one more)
1x Triskelion

Support: 21
4x Tangle Wire
2x Mindslaver (oh comeon, you know their fun)
4x Counterspell
2x Cursed Scroll
4x Lightning Bolt
4x Smokestack
1x Trinisphere

Draw: 1
1x Memory Jar

Land: 25
1x Grim Monolith
1x Lotus Petal
2x Wasteland
2x City of Brass
1x Tolarian Academy
2x Volcanic Island
2x Mishra's Factory (getting 2 more)
4x Mountain
4x Island
3x Great Furnace
3x Seat of Synod

I'm going to have to keep the artifact lands in until I can get more Volcanic Islands (only one guy has them here and sells them for 20 a pop) Will drop the City of brass when I get more factory's too. As for the the lightning bolts, I'll keep them in until I get 3x Trisisphere, and then I'll use the forth slot for the mana vault i have lying around.
Grimy is gonna stay b/c he's good control, for now. And the eater of says only see's play when I have somesort of lock down. Thanks for the comments so far, anyone else have any ideas? (starts seaching for the needed cards)

whenever i play artifact heavy decks, i always ask myself one thing
what's my answer to null rod?
you can always say your metagame doesn't have a lot of them, but ime the damn things hit wayyy to often to be comfortable, especially if you're running artifact lands
waiting for them to get an artifact into the yard to weld is iffy, especially when you consider that gay/r is the most common user of null rods maindeck
i'd cut down on the artifact lands if you don't have any compelling reason to use them
overload and shattering pulse come to mind
i noticed chain of vapour is good for situations where you have an active smokestack but no welder out
just throwing ideas around here
