BWM sparked some random creativity I guess : Xantid Stealer (ofcourse this can be changed!) 1U Creature -- Wizard Whenever ~this~ deals combat damage to a player, you may gain control of target creature that player controls. 0/1 It's cheap, yet conditional. I was thinking I'd make it U, but that could be too redicioulous in conjunction with stuff like bonesplitter. So 1U it is. Whaddayaguysthink?  |

Seems fine to me (thought the name blows hardcore), because if the opponent has any creatures at all he'll just block this.

This card is useless without something to pump it's power.
Assigning 0 combat damage is the same as not dealing damage at all.

Not at all. This needs to get through unblocked, and it needs to somehow get power (not easy for a blue creature), before it can start stealing things. It's a completely different card. |

I mentioned this in the 'Xantid Destroyer' thread, but it bears saying here as well. What is 'Xantid'? If it's the location from which the original swarm came, all's well and good. If it is the kind of insect that comprised the original swarm, then all of these 'Xantid' cards are implying specialized Xantid insects. I'm all for avoiding the name 'Xantid' altogether.
