COW could become an awesome combo deck if built correctly. When the combo is in place, you can create a one-sided Armaggedon. Aggro cannot kill you, as you can gain infinite life. The kill condition is any ol' X spell the mana base can support.

Now, here are ideas for the skeleton of the deck:

The Combo
1 Fastbond
4 Zuran Orb
4 Crucible of Worlds

The combo goes that you tap a land for mana, sacrifice it to the Zorb for 2 life, then replay it from your graveyard indefinitely with the COW and Fastbond. The only thing with this is that you can only go off on your own turn, as there is no way that I can think of to play lands on your opponent's turn. Also, with the combo hinging on one card, you have to have a reliable way of tutoring up and protecting Fastbond.

Tutoring
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Enlightened Tutor
4 Academy Rector
3 Claws of Gix (for getting the Rector in the 'yard)
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain

Demonic is a no brainer. Vampiric is just as useful when cast at the right time. Enlightened fetches up the missing combo piece. The Rectors get the Fastbond and the Bargain into play.

Disruption/Counters
3 Cabal Therapy
4 Force of Will
4 Mana Drain

Cabal Therapy can be useful for stripping key cards, and even if you miss, you can use it to get Rector in the graveyard. FoW is FoW. Mana Drain can help power out Crucible or Rector.

Card Drawing
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
4 Brainstorm

Ancestral and Time Walk, duh. Brainstorm can be pitched to FoW or used to save combo pieces from Duress or other hand destruction.

Kill

I haven't really figured out the best kill card for this deck, but I suspect something like Stroke would work best. You'll have infinite mana and your entire deck in your hand when you go off, so winning a counter war shouldn't be that much of a problem.

Mana
5 Moxen
1 Black Lotus
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Crypt
4 Polluted Delta
4 Tundra
4 Underground Sea
4 Tropical Island
1 Strip Mine (Here's that one sided Armeggedon)

This is the one part I'm not too sure about. It probably needs some work and will end up completely reworked when I have some suggestions for the deck from y'all.

We're holding off on Crucible of Worlds decks/discussion until the card is actually finalized.
