Chalice for 2 is almost an autoplay if you dont know what you are playing against. Chalice for 0 or for 1 are also really standard. 3 is harder because you lose A LOT. And it's definitly not a good play against Tog.

Wait, how is it not a good play against Tog? It seems debilitating, as you just lose TFKs and Wheel etc. and they lose all their win conditions and removal. The only out is if they have Stifle/Oxidize MD or a Shaman. Or are we only looking at 4-C Tog?

By the time you get enough mana for a Chalice for 3, Tog might get to use a Drain or a Force of Will. I think that's a bit more key.

Against Tog, a chalice for 2 is a lot more debilitating, especially at first. You can then take a few turns of setup for either the Slaver or a Chalice for 3. At that point, it's over.

And yes, I can see Tog using Oxydize, or Overload in older versions.
