I'm posting here looking for some advice on a mono green LD deck that I have been playing for about a month. Its basically Patrick Fransen's mono green LD. Which is listed here http://www.morphling.de/coverages/top8decks.php?id=79 Except my LD deck is attempting to play more of my meta than actual T1 meta. Although if I can tune it up maybe I'll take a ride down to Columbus sometime. Well here's my decklist:

Creatures:12
4-Llanowar Elves
4-Fyndhorn Elves
4-Terravore
2-Masticore

Land Destruction:12
4-Thermokarst
4-Ice Storm
4-Winter's Grasp

Artifacts18
4-Chalice of the Void
4-Tangle Wire
4-Ankh of Mishra
2-Powder Keg
1-Sol Ring
1-Mox Emerald
1-Chrome Mox
1-Zuran Orb

Spell:1
1-Tranquility

Lands:17
14-Forest
2-Treetop Village
1-Rishadan Port
1-Strip Mine

My problems as seen from playing are lack of speed and drawing.

Cards I have wondered about putting in for speed.
1) Elvish Spirit Guide-this card can be used for green mana which is nice in the early game
2)Mox Ruby-The only other power at my disposal, still unsure about including it even though its free mana
3)Mana Crypt-3 damage is rather bothering but its a great game mana boost
4)Mox Diamond-Gets rid of a land, but will die to my powder keg Sad

On the drawing subject I have no idea for what to do so suggestions on that would be nice. As for my deck I would like as many suggestions as possible as I have 1 month b4 my next local tourney to tweak this deck. Hell they might be amazed I'm not playing sligh as it wins b/c my meta is mainly unpowered, but it gets boring playing the same deck for 2 years straight as my first choice of decks.

Wasteland, the most commonly used Land Destruction, is conspicuously absent. Is this intentional? If not, I suggest adding it.

yes Firebird its intentional because since my meta is mostly unpowered everyone plays with the basic lands although I could sideboard them for just one person lol b/c he plays with duals   or converts to mono black, so the wastelands are up in the air

This is speaking with virtually no experience with the deck, but if drawing is a problem, how bad would adding 2 skullclamps be?  The elves are not particularly useful after the first couple turns and being able to off them for two cards does not seem like a bad tradeoff.  I would imagine you would normally have at least one and usually two by the time you see a clamp, and this is when typically the deck would seem to run out of gas.

By the way, ESG should be in here I feel, it is a speed boost, and an efficient one, which is exactly what you say you are in need of.  If you get them late, they can be hardcast which is not the most awful thing in the world.

Have you thought about Sylvain Library. You basiclly get to choose the best of 3 cards a turn.

[card]Stunted Growth[/card]

It is nigh-godly if it resolves. I see it run as a two-of a lot.

Some cards for you to consider, though it depends heavily on your meta:

Null Rod - Stops artifact mana dead, as well as other pesky things like Nev's Disks, Memory Jars, etc.  The downside being that it also stops your own Powder Kegs, Sol Ring, and Mox.

[card]Tsabos Web[/card] - I love this card against any kind of Standstill based deck, or Bazaar, or things like Tog with lots of Wastes and Librarys, etc.  It may be ideal for you since you're not running many wastes already.

[card]Root Maze[/card] - Good times all around, especially with Tsabo's Web.  Also hoses Dragon pretty well.

Naturalize or Oxidize might also be worth considering, acting as mana denial and/or a general hoser.

As far as creatures, how have the Terravores been working out for you?  I didn't like them without a full Waste/Strip compliment, and opted to go with a compliment of River Boas and Troll Ascetics instead, but it's your call.
