Voracious Hunger BG Enchant Creature Enchanted creature has "Cumulative upkeep: sacrifice a creature".
Just a random idea I wanted to get out of the way. They can always choose not to pay the cost, so it's less powerful than Terminate, as befits a gold card of non-allied colors.

Current Wording:
Voracious Hunger BG Enchant Creature At the beginning of enchanted creature's controller's upkeep, that player sacrifices a creature other than enchanted creature and puts a +1/+1 counter on enchanted creature. If he or she doesn't, sacrifice enchanted creature.

I don't think this is a good idea. It'd be more interesting if it weren't cumulative upkeep. As it is, somebody probably would keep this around for one turn and maybe for two. After that, it may as well be Lingering Death. If the enchanted creature gained, 'During your upkeep, sacrifice a creature,' that'd more often lead to somebody doing silly things to try to keep their creature around.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

I don't like it being non-optional. Hungry Birds or Walls are a lock versus a lot of decks. Couldn't you add
Sac a creature other than enchanted creature: sac a creature
That allows you to get rid of the hunger but at a high cost. It also grants you a very weak ability.

Żes. this is a lot like that hunger from mercadian masques, which gave the lord of the pit drawback to a target. That cost 3BB. (So a 7/7 flying trampler sans drawback should cost 7BBBBB?)
So this is way cheaper than that old rare. Is that good? I agree with this being some sort of lock against some decks.

Isn't this just a lock against bad decks?

I changed it so that it can sac itself but you have to control no other creatures first.

Isn't this just a lock against bad decks? I think Stijndon just agreed with you :D From a flavour point of view Matt's fix is very good. It eats other creatures then it eats itself if alone. Just an idea, but wouldn't it be interesting to give the enchanted creature a bonus when it eats (+1/+1 for example)? Breeding Pit decks all over the world would love you for it. As an alternative giving the hungry critter Fear and Trample to reflect its hunger and expanding mass would be both in flavour and somewhat ironic. Not that I think you need to add anything to this card, it is fine as it is but either the +1/+1 or the savage Fear/Trample 'combo' would be the cherry on the cake.

The +1/+1 is a good idea.

I think +2/+2 would make the card more desired.
