I was riffliing through my cards late last night and came upon a card I haven't seen played since the days of the Balance Deck, Titania's Song, for those of you who do not remember what it says let me post it for you:

Titania's Song
3G
Enchantment
Each non-creature artifact loses its abilities and becomes an artifact creature with power and toughness each equal to its converted mana cost. If Titania's Song leaves play, this effect continues until end of turn.

Now, I thought to myself, "Wow, this shuts off artifact abilities", but of course so does Null Rod, and Dampning Matrix, so why then would one even consider this card?  My one answer, Enchantress.  Now Obviously you would not play this vs Stax, or MUD, but against Slaver, now that (may) be some good.  First off, I will look at the disadvantages of playing it vs Slaver (sideboard card obviously for those who didn't know):

1.)  They could now have 5/5 Lotus's and 6/6 Slavers, reccurable with Welders (which is why Encahntress also runs ground seal, so not as much a problem)

2.)  It costs 4 mana, compared to the 2-3 of Null Rod and Dampning Matrix

3.)  4 mana off a Mana Drain hurts.

4.)  It kills your 3 moxen (if you play black/blue etc)

Now, the good it can do sided in vs Slaver:

1.)   They won't get the madd mana power of their Loti, which fuels slaver so well.

2.)  It stops their infinite slaver combo off immediatly.

3.)  Chalice for 2 doesn't stop it (i.e.  Seal of Cleansing/Ground Seal/Argothian Enchantress all stopped by chalice for 2)

4.)  Maze of Ith (which is being played in enchantress frequently) and Pegasus Tokens are great for stopping 5/5 Loti and 6/6 slavers.

5.) You get to draw cards off you enchantress/presence.

6.)  It is the correct color.

7.)  It kills Moxen and Crypts. (less fodder for welders to have fun with)

Are the disadvantages worth the advantages, or is ground seal and Seals enough?  Please debate.

The reasons I could give you for this being horrible would take several pages, thus, I present, the highlights.

THEY SWING FOR LETHAL DAMAGE.  Immediately.

For an obscenely narrow sideboard card, that would lead you, oh, I don't know, YOUR LIFE BEING REDUCED TO ZERO, I don't see this getting a lot of play.

Enchantress isn't exactly the most viable deck.  Moved. -Rico [/color]
