This Saturday we had a power tourney for a Mox Jet at T&T Collectibles in Pittsfield, MA. We ended up with a very surprising 37 players, very good for a five proxy tournament. We were unprepared for this sort of turnout as our last power tourney had 13 players. As a result of the turnout and some players arriving late the tourney started about 40 minutes late. First, I would like to apologize to the players who received a match loss as a result of a misunderstanding. I was not running the tourney and my opinion couldn’t change the result. Second, I want to apologize to everyone who participated, the store was too crowded and the late start will not happen again. We will be ready for any kind of turnout for our next power tourney. I will post an update on upcoming tourneys when I get the info.
About halfway through the tourney the prize structure was changed. The first place winner would get a Mox Jet, second place winner had a choice of a Illusionary Mask or Italian Moat and the third place winner received what was left and a Morphling.
The field showed a variety of different decks. A lot of different archetypes made an appearance, including a few combo decks.
