I'd like to add a short poetry excerpt, preexisting or original, and break it in to two halves for flavor text on each half. I can't come up with anything good at the moment though.
Rhyme feels strong, but not overly so. I discussed it with Orlove, and we think the price is right for that effect. Reason on the other hand doesn't feel broken enough. Though, it's at the right price to be a cute trick in a Lich based casual deck without being overly broken.
Current wording:
Rhyme / Reason
3WW / 3UU
sorcery / sorcery

I think this is costed perfect the way it is. For reference, in Fifth Dawn there's a card (Beacon of something, there's a cycle of beacons) that doubles your life total, then shuffles itself back into your library, and it costs 3WW.
Incidentally, I think it would be easier to just say "double your life total" instead of the wording you currently have.
Split cards lose a lot of extra space to additional borders and such, I doubt there'd be much room for a poem.
Lastly, "reason" seems like it should be the blue half, since most blue card drawing spells are mind-related (Accumulated Knowledge, Concentrate, Braingeyser, Stroke of Genius, Inspiration, Thirst for Knowledge, Brainstorm, and so on).

Yeah, that was actually a mixup on my part. Reason should be the blue half. I wasn't aware you could use the term "double" anymore. I'll fix that.  Edit: A couple quick things. The beacon costs 5W. That makes me wary. It also targets. Also, the way I originally worded these, the X is chosen before anyone is allowed to respond. I did this originally because life gain is terrible and if you end up fighting a counterwar over Reason I wanted it to matter. Is this too broken? If not, I'm not certain how I could phrase Rhyme other than the way I already chose. |

I've come up with a flavor text. It's from Edmund Spencer. "I was promised on a time / to have reason for my rhyme. From that time unto this season / I recieved nor rhyme nor reason." You could put the first sentice on the first card and the second one on the second. This one poses a bit of a challange to my mock-up skillz, though  |
