For those of us who can't post in the Type 1 Forum here a link to an article on UB Mask
http://www.themanadrain.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=17489

I think the biggest problem with UR mask is that you can just replace the mask and dreadnaught with dragon/animate and you get a combo that wins instantly instead of in 3 turns.  ELD's version is better because the welders protect it, but the dragon combo can just use that slot for more disruption and protect just as well.

The way a Mask deck ought to be played is with as many powerful creatures as possible, so that the deck becomes one with enough threat density to overpower counterspells and the like, as that is mask's biggest strength: it says "your creatures can't really be countered anymore." Given that most combo decks will be able to win before mask, the deck will also need to have the plan B mentioned previously (in the type one forum, not by me). Vengeur/Ninja Mask seems like the strongest build, as chalice is the only real problem card.

Dragon and Vengeur Masque are not the same deck, no matter how many colors and deck-types they share.  That's like saying that Secret Force was just Oshawa Stompy.

Has anyone considered "eater of days" as threats 5-8, I remember hearing about that as a posiblty when the set came out, but never heard if anyone tested it.

This is the UB Mask-Deck I used to place 9th in the last November's Dulmen. Essentially it is a Sui-Black adding Blue for Power, some additional search and disruption in the form of Stifle.

combo
4x Illusionary Mask
4x Phyrexian Dreadnought

creatures
3x Phyrexian Negator
3x Nantuko Shade

disruption
4x Duress
4x Hymn to Tourach
2x Stifle
4x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine

searching & drawing:
1x Ancestral Recall
4x Brainstorm
1x Demonic Consultation
1x Demonic Tutor
1x Vampiric Tutor

bombs
1x Time Walk
1x Yawgmoth's Will

mana
1x Mox Jet
1x Mox Sapphire
4x Dark Ritual
4x Underground Sea
4x Polluted Delta
6x Swamp

sideboard
I can't remember all of the Sideboard; I don't have the list lying next to me. I definitely contained some Planar Voids, some Back to Basics and some Masticores. I will reveal the Sideboard in a later post.

The reason for 4 Brainstroms but no Necropotence is that I tried to include Force of Will, but this didn't worked out. I forgot to include Necro again before the tournament started, but the deck worked fine without it.

Recent changes include the addition of Red, mainly for 2 Gorilla Shamans instead of the Stifles MD and for Rack and Ruin and REB in the Sideboard.

I don't think that Hymn to Tourach is that great with Mindslavers being played in sufficient numbers, even Duress might not be that good.
At least the 4 slots for Hymns in my list could be replaced by something better, maybe even more carddraw?
