Here's the earliest version of Fish I could find in my files. This was Jay's answer to Paul Sligh and he felt it was the better of the two decks at the time ....
FISHEADS - 96 T2 LEGAL Jay Schneider
1 Zuron Orb
4 Merfolk of the Pearled Trident 4 Brass Men 1 Black Vise
4 Lords of Atlantis 3 River Merfolk
4 Essence Flare 4 Aelopile 4 Enervate
2 Lat Nam's Legacy 2 Zurs Wierding 4 Force of Will
2 Sheltered Valley 1 Strip Mine 4 Mishra Factory
4 Svyeluntie Temple ( spelled as found ) 14 Island
Sideboard: 4 Control Magic 4 Energy Flux 2 Force Void 5 Elemental Blasts
Anyone know of earkier versions of tournament Fish decks?

Rarely has Flatulence been turned to advantage, as with a Frenchman referred to as "Le Petomane," who became affluent as an effluent performer who played tunes with the gas from his rectum on the Moulin Rouge stage.

I love the Temple/Sheltered Valley/ZOrb lifegain combo, just what aggro control needs. Apart from Sligh hate I can't see why he used Flare over Unstable Mutation.
I think the Temples stand head and shoulders over all over weird card choices.

Force Void outside of mental magic? Tech.

C'mon ... Lat Nam's Legacy is way stronger than Brainstorm and Essence Flair is the real tech. You need to appreciate the incredible synergy of the deck. Faster and better than FCG.
Could a moderator move this to the Sui forum where it will be appreciated.

I believe Jay actually created it but Paul Sligh made it popular by bringing it to tournaments and making a name for the deck.

That's right. Schneider created both decks, Geeba and Fish heads.
Essence Flare = the best creature removal ever.
