I’d like to congratulate um… myself as the winner of 3CB#32.
No attempted mise-prize winners this time, although we have both our first all-win entrant. This is more likely to happen with a tournament of this size, though.

Entrant – Deck Name – Deck

1. wonkey_donkey – Basket of Goods – Havenwood Battleground, Snake Basket, Channel
2. Lockdown – Hawks over Ice – Mox Pearl, Suntail Hawk – Ice Floe
3. r_x_ - LOL.dec – Swamp, Mishra’s Factory, Terror
4. AC1Phoenix – Minizoo – Taiga, Kird Ape, Lightning Bolt
5. Tristal – UnderpantsGnomes.dec – Sol Ring, Mishra’s Factory, Mishra’s Factory
6. Matt – Whoa, [2]-cost win conditions are scarce – Crystal Vein, Copper Tablet, Ice Floe
7. Lhyrrus – Factory Beats – Sol Ring, Mishra’s Factory, Mishra’s Factory
8. combo_dude – TheBleedinObvious.dec – Swamp, Ostracize, Brass Man

How to read the table:
Match the deck# on the left with the deck # on top. The #s on the right of that deck correspond to how many points that deck received versus the deck on top.

0  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8   Total
1| x 6 6 6 6 6 6 6     42
2| 0 x 2 2 0 6 0 3     13
3| 0 2 x 2 0 2 0 2     10
4| 0 2 2 x 2 2 2 4     16
5| 0 6 6 2 x 6 2 6     28
6| 0 0 2 2 0 x 0 2      6
7| 0 6 6 2 2 6 x 6     28
8| 0 3 2 1 0 2 0 x     10

Standings:
1:   wonkey_donkey 42
2:   Tristal 28
   Lhyrrus
4:   AC1Phoenix 16
5:   Lockdown 13
6:   r_x_ 10
   combo_dude
8:   Matt 6

Not much to say about this one; as I’ve said in earlier posts, this was not my finest hour in terms of thinking up formats. I don’t think there should be any kind of mention for all-win or all-loss entries, as the tournament was so small it was far easier than it ought to have been.

Next time – back to the old format. We’re going to try having everything legal again, and hope that things are still balanced. Please post thoughts on that on the proposed banned list thread.

Any corrections needed?

Oh, and sorry for the delay - I realise these should have been out yesterday.

This one was basic sets only; however, that was a bit boring. I think for the next one we're probably going to go back to a small banned list - see http://www.themanadrain.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=17395 for more info on the list. If anyone's got any other ideas, please post them - I'm going back to a banned list because I've had no input from anyone about other ideas.

This would be much more fun if you would unbanned the Lotus even for this one. The Channel-Basket would be undefeatable then, though...

3. r_x_ - LOL.dec – Swamp, Mishra’s Factory, Terror
6. Matt – Whoa, [2]-cost win conditions are scarce – Crystal Vein, Copper Tablet, Ice Floe

How do I lose to r_x_? If he ever attacks, I can Floe the factory, and then it won't untap, but I'll be at 18 and he'll be at 20, so I can't play the Tablet or he'll win the race, so I do nothing and we draw out all games. I don't think Ice Floe is dependant on the target remaining a creature. Crystalkeep has nothing to say on the issue, however.

If this works, then I also get some points off combo_dude.

If only I'd noticed that Ice Floe is not Maze of Ith...! It turns out that my deck has NO WAY TO WIN, only to draw. :O

My bad, sorry. I'd just assumed that you'd play the tablet. Will fix it.

Yes, I know, but I don't find any deck that would like to play it. It would be usefull only against Basket decks, and some random other decks.
