Ladder Theory>Relativity

How often do you really deal with things moving near the speed of light?  How often do you deal with people of the opposite sex?  Clearly ladder theory is much more usefull than relativity.

In one of Tolkien's letters he tells his son that women and men cannot be just friends.  My point is that ladder theory is not a new, or totally stupid idea.
