but is central to your deck. A deck with less than 14 counterspells
makes you nervous.

I got three, and while aggro-control is near the top of my preferences, I really really love drawing cards. Impulse is one of my favorite cards. As a control freak (in the personality sense), I am deeply attracted to blue. So theoretically I should fall into 7-10, but I don't.
