Okay this is my first post on TMD.  I think this would be the place to discuss this topic seeing as how this is my first post and I think any other place, my thread would be closed.  But anyway, here is what I am asking:

Is using Berserk in the current Oath build a bad choice or is it overlooked?  What I mean by current Oath build is running 2 Darksteel Colossus as your Oath creatures.  With a Colossus on the table, and a Berserk in hand, this is game one turn quicker without your opponent being able to have an additional turn to find an answer.  Or is it a dead draw otherwise.  If you have a Berserk in hand with no Colossus, it's not gonna draw you extra cards, so is it worth it?  You can't use it unless you have already Oathed out your colossus (which is most of the time game anyway).   I actually like the idea, but what would be taken out in place of the Berserk.  Here is my current decklist:

[Oath Engine = 10]
4x Oath of Druids
2x Gaea's Blessing
2x Darksteel Colossus
2x Funeral Pyre

[Board Control = 9]
2x Null Rod
2x Nevinyrral's Disk
1x Balance
4x Force of Will

[Draw/Broken = 13]
3x Brainstorm
4x Impulse
1x Ancestral Recall
2x Standstill
1x Demonic Tutor
1x Living Wish
1x Time Walk

[Mana = 23]
4x Tropical Island
4x City of Brass
4x Gemstone Mine
2x Undiscovered Paradise
3x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine
1x Island
1x Forest
1x Mox Sapphire
1x Mox Pearl
1x Sol Ring

[Man Land = 6]
2x Faerie Conclave
4x Mishra's Factory

[Total = 61 cards]

[Sideboard = 15]
1x Morphling
1x Spike Weaver
1x Maze of Ith
1x The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
1x Ivory Tower
1x Ivory Mask
1x Spiritual Focus
1x Aegis of Honor
2x Chalice of the Void
1x Mana Drain
1x Mana Leak
2x Energy Flux
1x Tormod's Crypt

Now I realize that Oath is an "obsolete deck" but I still enjoy playing it and it's very competitive where I play my type one tournaments.  I've noticed that other threads about Oath have been locked, but I am not sure why.
I also know that this build is suboptimal.  I don't have any Fetchlands or any other Duals besides the Trops. Of course if it's more optimal, I want to obtain those cards, so feel free to say whatever you want about it.  I want to know how it can be better.

Also, my sideboard choices are suboptimal.  I got slaughtered by mono red straight burn last time because I lacked any SB against it.   I see a lot of Affinity (mainly type two style), some Reanimator, Trix, Dragon, old school R/G beats, and Burn.  So far at least.

But my original question was does Berserk fit into this deck?  It already runs green for Oath, and it's such a cheap card that says "I win" right on it in this deck.  Is it worth it?

Discuss Berserk in Oath here and any help on my deck is welcome.

I cant believe I'm posting in the casual forum, but something you might want to consider... Dragon Breath over berserk
This gives you the same speed boost, can be played from your hand OR if it gets oathed into your graveyard, and wont go away should your first colossus get plowed.

Have fun!

Dragon Breath is a good idea.  I forgot about playing it from your hand.  Now how does that work?  If I oath out a Colossus, which happens first?  The Coloussus coming in to play, or the Dragon Breath going into the graveyard?  Or do I choose?  It makes sense to have the Dragon Breath hit the graveyard first, so then the Colossus comes into play and triggers the Breath.

But since I am running Gaea's Blessing, would that ruin the Dragon Breath idea?  I mean, once I reveal a Gaea's Blessing, the Dragon Breath is pointless.  Well, how would that work?  Say if I revealed Blessing, Dragon Breath, and then Colossus.  Would I be able to play it so the Dragon Breath DIDN'T get shuffled back into my library?  Or would it just be better to take out the Blessings?

What about running both Dragon Breath and Berserk?  Is that just insane?  It would be a flashy play to Oath and win in the same turn.  But is it worth it?

running both is probably overkill... as neither really helps your game out until you've already oathed once.

The way you'd work the dragonbreath/blessing issue is to stack the triggers. the way it would play out is

Start of upkeep Oath triggers
Oath resolves dumping 30 cards into your graveyard including Breath and Blessing before finding and putting a colossus into play.
Breath and blessing both trigger during this and wait until you get priority. As the player in control of both triggers you can decide which order to put them on the stack.
You put the blessing effect on the stack and the breath effect on top of it.
Breath trigger resolves and it enchants darksteel colossus
Then the blessing trigger resolves and you shuffle your graveyard into your library.
Proceed with the rest of your turn with your new hasty colossus.

yeah i agree that both is overkill.  When you oath, you just reveal cards from your library until you reveal a creature.  So you aren't dumping any cards intto your graveyard just yet.  Then after you have revealed 30 cards, including Blessing and Breath, you reveal the Colossus.  The text on the Oath doesn't specify which happens first, putting the creature into play or the revealed cards into the graveyard.  It just says to do that.

So since it doesn't say, this is how I would play it,

Beginning of my upkeep, Oath triggers.
Reveal 30 cards, including Breath and Blessing.  (They are not in my Graveyard yet.)
Reveal Colossus. (He's not in play yet)
I put the cards in graveyard first.
Then I put Colossus into play.
Dragons breath and Blessing trigger so:
Put blessing on the stack.
Then Dragon's Breath.

Breath resolves, enchanting Colossus.
Blessing resolves shuffling the remaining cards in my graveyard into my library.

So if this happened in a tournament, that is how I would explain it.

The resolution of the effects puts the creature into play at the same time as it dumps the cards into the graveyard...  so it would work like we talked about.
But for a more exact ruling (and something nice to quote to any doubters)
