Last night at a tourney, one of our veterans pointed to Eternal Witness and mentioned that he tought that she could become pretty big in T1.  Now, at Origins, I had a similar short discussion with another group of people.  So, the question is, what does everyone here think?  Is Eternal Witness playable in T1?

I think she's a good card and could prove very useful T1, but I don't think she'll see decent play at all (I certainly wouldn't play her).  Most decks don't even pack Regrowth anymore, so why would they want a creature that does the same thing for one more?  This would be nice in an aggro deck to recur stuff taken out by...Fire/Ice?...beats me...her usefulness is pretty limited.  If the opposing player can't take out a hoard of creatures with a Balance or Deed, he's screwed anyway, and the recurrance of one card isn't going to make any difference.  She's about on the same level with Nostalgic Dreams, and we all know how much that sees play (still a good card though).  With StP as the only targeted creature removal in decks these days (and only a few still pack StP), after the hoard is gone, she's just gonna get drained.

I haven't done any testing, but what does everyone think?
