Countering

Another question from me  

Case 1
If my opponent cast a Meddling Mage and got 1 land open to tap. I got 2 Spiketail Hatchling in play. Can I sacrifice them both to counter the spell?

Case 2
If I got 4 mana open and 2 Mana Drains in my hand. My opponent cast Meddling Mage. I counter with one Mana Drain. My opponen Forces, I then response with Mana Drain again. Can I target the Meddling Mage again or must I target the Force of Will?

1.  Sure.  He'll get the option to have the spell countered or pay 1 when each resolves.  If he can't satisfy each abiltiy, then the spell will be countered.

2.  You can target either one.
