Paul Barclay is trying to set some 'standard' rules. As most casual groups tend to follow official guidelines this is important. Highlights include no play/draw rule and some permanents you control but don't own leaving the game when you lose.

In general it looks like a reasonable set of 'standard' rules for multiplayer, remember that you can and will be using variants anyway but the sets the 'norm'.

Props for support for multiplayer.

The nice thing is that official rules support might lead to more official support in the future. Mulitplayer GP? Sounds nice.
