Myriad Games Report

Ok, so I'm not a big big T1 player, but I do own and play sweet Ninja Mask, and I can not pass the opportunity to play in a big tourny for the heck of it.

So I decided to go to the Myriad Games Tourny and whip out a deck NOBODY would see coming. So here the report for sweet Ninja Mask:

Round 1:

Game One: I'm playing against a Welder deck with Scroll rack and MD Sword of F/I, I dont remember much about games normally, but later in game he Duplicants my Shifter a turn before I could win, and he plays a Sword of F/I equips it to a Welder (?) and swings for the win.

Game Two: I sideboard in sweet Ground Seal and Naturalizes. I play a 2nd turn Ground Seal, he reads it and says, "Shit". I draw my sweet card and say go. At some point here I force something, pitching Shifter (I sided out 2 of em, cause I was hopin Nought beats would do it also at this point I wasnt sure what to sideboard out as the MD is very tight, but I got it worked out now.) Soon I drop my last Shifter after getting it with my Survival I played at some point and he soon Dups it, drops two (TWO) Swords equips one to Welder and I nat it and he leaves the other on and gets by my Tog with it (Damn pro-blue).

Round 2:

I GET A SWEET BYE and watch Pat's B/R hate deck bend over heavily to WHITE WEENIE...haha funiest thing I've seen in a while.

Round 3: He's playing Food Chain Gobbos

Game one: I get a early Mask and nought, but he goes broken earlier and I lose.

Game two: I board in Naturalizes. I play another early mask followed with a Nought same turn, he plays a Lackey and gets some gusy out (DO I CARE? yes...) Next turn I drop Survival and ditch my 2 guys for 2 noughts which go right under the mask. EOT he forgets to ping me with a shooter which (woulda have won him the game) He then scoops horribly to my sweet 3 noughts.

Game three: He mulls down to five Sad I keep my hand with Duress and Force with blue card. HE goes first and drops a Lotus for a Warcheif, I show the Cheif the FingerForce. My turn a play Bayou and Duress him, he has a land a Matron and a Petal, hmm I take petal! Next turn he does nothing. Next turn I drop mask and a Nought (I think) His turn he Topdecks shit and scoops.

Round 4: I play against U/G Madness and I'm sorry but this guy was a BAD player.

Game one: I go first turn sweet Queer Ranger (Quirion) he goes ok, he drops a WASTELAND and tries to WASTE my land, I go uhh I'll return it to my hand...I get out a Shifter with a Survival soon, and he loses to a FLYING PHAGE.

Game two: I SB in 3 Xantid Swarms. He goes first and he drops 2 moxes and a land and soem other stuff. I have forces in hand and he plays a Mongrel at some point and I am not paying attention so I dotn force it, soon I drop a Mask and he Circ Logics it I still haev force but I forget it again (I was wicked distracted) I take Mongrel beats and lose.

Game three: I go first turn ranger again and he goes Waste your land again, I go ummm I'll return it...haha this is what I mean by bad. I soon get a Shifter out with Survival and he has a crypt out so I bait in the crypt by discarding Phage. And I Discard a Dreadnought after the Crypt and beat for the win, but not right away, because he UNSUMMONS my Shifter...I'm liek ok and play it again and win next turn.

Round Five: I play against 7/10 (this is a GOOD match-up)

Game One: I take beats for 7 and lose (who cares, it's Sideboard TECH time)

Game two: In comes 4 Naturalizes and 3 Ground Seal. I resolve a early Ground Seal and Force his tinker, he sits back and does shit. I win with Nought beats.

Game three: In late game he gets out a 7/10 and I'm like. Yeah Whuteva. He gets out another, and follows with a Wheel (I have 3 Nat's in hand and I'm liek shit and I didnt use em cause I needed land) But I Wheel into sweet brokenness of: Mox, Mox, LOTUS, SURVIVAL, and 2 creatures. I have a Mask out in play and I just go OMG BROKEN and I show it to Dan S. whos right next to me and he just laughed ahhaha. SO next turn I go check out this brokenness and I get 2 Noughts under mask, and soon after win.

I'm sorry but my 12/12's for 1 dont fear your LD/ 7/10ers.

Round 6: Me and Opp tie into finals.

T8: I play Chad and his U/g Madness (I'm 8th hes FIRST) OF course

SO I know I can win this, but not next game vs. stacks so I just play stupidly and he beats me 2/1

Well...That was a very funny tournament. Im so glad Ninja Mask did so good...I mean who expects that? Seriously. They musta been liek (before the Tourny) Shit, I better board agaisnt Ninja Mask cause I FEAR it.

There was 2 people outta 44 playing Stacks and thats the only deck that can beat me for sure whereas I have a fairly good chance against anything else and I had alrdy lost to one of them {yes first guy was playing a wierd stacks version cause I did see a Tangle Wire})
