Unfortunately this is my first Type 1 tourney, so I apologize for the report's overall crappiness.  Also, its posted on the forum for the University of Windsor Magic Club (which I run :P):

It's not "his" metagame it was the oshawa meta that he went to on GO train for about 2 hours....

I have to agree about the metagame thing, though, I mean W/B angel/demon, etc, that is pretty sad.  I'm also sure that you're aware of how questionable your own list was, however, so I won't go into detail about that.

Glad you filled out that playset of fows, though, and I'm sure you'll be OK trading for those hard-to-find cloud of faeries Wink.

God, my metagame is pathetic.  Scrubby extended tourney's and limited format on fridays.  That's it.

The guy who won, however, was playing a variation on URphidian.  May've been the right choice considering how Smemmen recently did at GenCon with his mono blue build.

Oh, and the guy who invented Oshawa stompy (can't remember his name off the top of my head) was there with his son.  His son was playing Keeper, and he was playing Oshawa Stompy.  He was going to play Cherry Parfait, but he was worried about running into my deck!

I was the winner at this tourney.

It was a variation of EBA.  It still needs much playtesting before i leak the deck to the public.

Razor was indeed there, playing a variation of his Oshawa stompy, and his son was playing Urphid.

i was also at a worlds collide tourny recently, i dont remember the date, but it was for a candelabra of tawnos (n/m cond), and I ended up placing 2nd overall.  I lost to Matt's madness deck, as I didn't have time to pickup my f***ing planar voids before the tourny, so was forced to run tormod's crypt in there place.  All in all, a good tourny.

The meta is scruby in oshawa, but that's because no cardshops are willing to run good t1 tournies, until recently the guy at worlds (mark) decided every saturday we could run them.  So far I've seen nothing but improvements in the meta since this change, and it's looking very progressive (which is good).
