I wasn't going to write a report, however, about 15 people have convinced me to write one.  So here goes...
Not to many pre-tourny events.  I sleptover my friend Rob's house and we drove up together the next morning.

I'd rather not post my list.  It's Meandeck Titan, just without black, and a maindeck Pentavus to help against combo.  I also has Arcane Labs in the board for combo, and 2 Shaman for the mirror/Mono-U matchups.

Round 1 vs. U/W Control

Game 1: I draw tons of cards. I don't know how he does it, but he draws 3 Angels in three turns. I Tinker->Duplicant one of them. I FoW the 2ed, and the third gets through. His flies, and I lose. Catch this, he didn't even play ANY draw spells (not even BStorm or Impulse) during the WHOLE game.
Game 2: I just do broken things and draw lots of cards. This time he doesn't draw 3 Angels and I win easily while he chumps my 7/10 with a 2/2 Morph
Game 3: I'm set up all nice nice with a Welder and Pentavus out. I've got FoW, FoW, Drain, Land in my hand. He plays something that I have to counter, which will leave him in topdeck mode (I forget the spell), so I FoW with FoW. Note that's I'm tapped out from getting Pentavus into play.  During his turn (he's got no cards in hand mind you), he rips Balance and then topdecks like a pro into an Eternal Dragon. I lose.
0-1

Round 2 vs. S|L Nick (mIRC name) with Hulk.

Game 1: I keep a hand with Lotus, Intuition, Land, Mox. I get my 3 AK's, play it, only to have it countered.  He plays land mox AK for 4. I thought I was out of the game, however, he plays Duress later in the game and has to take my slaver by default. I set up a Walk/Welder turn before I die and have the great idea to make Tog really big and not attack with it. GAWD, I'm such a bad player....
Game 2: He plays AK for 1. I play AK for 2 eot, then draw AK 3 and play it. It finds me AK 4, and that gets me AK 5. Needless to say I end up wining with a slave activation and get rid of his AK for 6 and win.
1-1

Round 3 vs. Purple Hat with Dragon

Game 1: [EDIT]  He didn't find a Dragon all game until I had him Slaved-locked.  Note he had 2 Bazaars this game.  He also pitches his last black source outside of Jet and Lotus this game to Bazaars.
Game 2: He plays Bazzar, then Crypt, Jet go. I play land, lotus, SHAMAN, eat his stuff. A few turns later I get a Titan out and he can't catch up to my tempo without more than 1 Squee. He played a Null Rod, but my Shaman took care of that (Weld it out for crypt eot).  Turns out he tutored for a Dragon, yet never saw the animate spell.
2-1

Round 4 vs. FCG

Game 1: He gets turn 1 Lackey, I don't have FoW. I'm at 2 life, and can block 3 creatures. He rips Commander (has the goblin that gives them haste on the table already), and beats me down with the 2 tokens I couldn't block. NOTE: this was the only topdeck that could win him this game.
Game 2: I keep up with his threats, and Drain something big. It leads to a Pentavus in play, with a Welder. I pass turn, he loses some stuff becasue I've been beating down. He's got the hasty goblin out, and passes turn. I play Old Man, pass. I'm at 1 life, and 1 mana away from Drain becasue I had played Old Man. He rips yet again Commander (well, later on he told me it was a land he needed to play it) and I'm short 1 blocker.
2-2

Round 5 vs. some bad BBCRI player with R/G Beats with Dryads
Game 1: Turn 1 Tinker.  He had a shaman out with a few lands, and didn't eat the moxen I had out.  It didn't really matter, but I figured I'd put this in to show you his playskill level.
Game 2: Turn 2 Tinker off a Mystical Tutor.
3-2

Round 6 vs. U/B/R B2B.dec
Game 1: I'm on the play and he mulligans. He draws 7. I call judge, and he has to go to 5.  I end up having Recall in my opening hand, as does he.    He plays his at my eot step, and I respond with my own.  I force his and proceed to win after some fetch/Brainstorm action (I had a Titan and Mindslaver in my opening hand).
Game 2: He has so much "hate" out. By hate I mean B2B, Planar Void, and Gorilla Shaman. I get to Intuition while Planar Void is on the stack and play my AK for 3. I let it resolve.  I play 2 AK's for 3, and end up with a hardcasted Pentavus in play, and a Welder. He plays Firestorm and tires to kill my Welder and Pentavus. I make 4 dudes and say okay. I beat for 4 twice and win.
4-2

Round 7 vs. Crushing Chamber
Game 1: He gets an early Crusher. I'm running for answers until I grab Mystical Tutor->Tinker->Duplicant. Sure the Dupe dies, but he's only got 2 2/2's out.  I stabalize at about 7 life and just get Pentavus out of my deck because Titan is bad against 2 Workshops and a Mox Ruby. I eventually get a hard lock on him.
Game 2: He plays Wire. I play around it like a mofo with TFK, AK, and Intuition in my upkeep. I get an Angel out and he can't resolve a Trisk to kill it.  It goes all the way.
5-2

Round 8 vs. Dragon
DAMN! Such an unlucky day for me, and I still have an itty bitty chance of Top 16.

Game 1: He Animates the Dragon on his second Turn playing first.  I had a good hand to beat jsut about everything but Dragon, and well, that's my luck.
Game 2: He sees more Titans than I do, and animates his. That must mean bad-news, and a final record of 5-3 for me. Sad

Turns out no matter what I could not have made Top 16. My friend Rob was 2 places higher than me (30th) going into the final round, and he didn't make it with a 2-0 win. Whatever. I didn't make any mistakes I could see, unlike Rob......GGRRRRR!!!!!! I'm just mad because Mr. Play-mistake Rob got 2 Packs when I played good magic and didn't.

Rob was playing U/R Fish.  His first 'play-mistake' opponent was at 2 life.  He swings with factoy, his opponet strips.  Rob says okay, then picks up his hand, only to look at a Stifle.  He won that game the next turn.  His second 'play-mistake' opponent was playing aggro-Workshop.  Rob plays Mogg Salvage on his opponents Juggie, and then activates his Grim Lavamancer to burn his opponents Welder.    He sould've bruned, then killed the Jug and put his opponent right out of the game.  He somhow won at some small number of life because he got like everyman land in his deck.

Here's the best part of the report. Rob and I get into the car and it doesn't start. We get a jump and everything seems fine. We're like 3 blocks away from the hotel at a Mc'Donalds waiting in the drive-through line when the radio turns off on its own. The engine soon follows.

We call AAA, and go into the 'resturant'. AAA show's up at about 1:20ish AM, and give us enough power to get back to the hotel. Rob's dad comes and meets us there like 2 hours away. Rob's father gets us all a room after the event is over, and we sleep. I'm awoken at 9:30 AM, and apparently the car is working now. We follow him home, and we all get back safe and sound. Rob was pissing himself nervous the whole time, while I was laughing my ass off.

We stuck around to watch the Top 4.  I saw Rich with his Old Men and Ophidians.  I'll tell ya, you REALLY needed to se the look on Carl's face when that Lava Dart came in.  It was amazing...

I got to meet Zherbus, JP Meyer, Brass Man, Grand Inquisitor, Purple Hat, Orgamist, S|L Nick, Meddling Mage, Bulls on Parade, iamfishman, and CrazyCarl, and many others who's TMD name I didn't catch.  I also got to see Rich Shay, Kerz, Kowal, Eastman, Moobius, and a bunch of YMG-Prov people again. I think I had more fun talking to people than I did playing magic. My first Waterbury was one of the best magic events I've ever been to.  I'll remember this one right next to my first Top 8 at FNM (on my first time going) playing Tog, and losing to Thretan in game 3 in the finals.  Right next to the first Type I event I ever went to at Gamer's Haven, and how I was so pissed at Kerz for winning with 4-Gush GAT, while I was on table 20ish with U/R Phid, the "answer" to his deck.  Damn man, some good times....

[EDIT]: Damn, typos BLOW....

Looks like that wasn't my crusher you read. I didn't decide to use wire in my deck. Perhaps I should have.

Thanks for the support, teammate.  Other than those 2 *little* mistakes, I played pretty good Magic, went 6-2 matches and 14-7 games, with a slightly sub-optimal deck.  Good report, Mike. I'm writing my own now...should be up by the end of the week.  Thanks to all who made this tourney possible...it was a blast! Oh, and for the record, I only pissed myself once during the entire weekend, when I saw I had to play JP in round one.
