   Surprised

Would I be correct to assume that the only man more reclusive than JD Salanger will be present at this Waterbury?

That would be most awesome.

So like, Meandeck (I know...I know, not me) has met Shortbus on neutral territory and in domain of Shortbus... when are they coming to our house?

So first we were goign to get wrecked in NC, then we were going to get wrecked in our own home town... then we were going to get wrecked north of the mason/dixon line.... now you're pinning your hopes on home court advantage?

Next month we'll have to go out ot California to play Meandeck because clearly we cant win west of the Mississippi....

I didn't say you couldn't win in the North East, I just said I wanted you guys there. If it's one thing about me, its that I NEVER talk-trash - it's bad karma. It would also be MY personal first in playing any of you, so it's different for me since I have no 'score to settle' as it's all just a clean slate as far as I'm concerned.

It seems unlikely that Short Bus will ever perform better than Meandeck again.  Meandeck is the most consistent performer and Shortbus reaped the windfall of Fish realizing how good it was while no one else did.  I sincerely hope that Shorbus continues to do well, but let's be honest... does anyone think that combined, they are better than meandeck?  Twisted Evil

Has anyone from shortbus even top eighted in a tournament in New England?

It's the greatest concentration of Vintage players and tournaments in the world, you'd think they'd look to make good on all their trashtalking and show up in the world's most active meta.

Not to mention the amount of beer that could be consumed were they to..

There's about a 50-50 chance I won't be able to go. If I can't make it, then I'll be fasting and praying for atonement at the TMD champs, because I refuse to miss both of those events.

:/

Edit: I won't be there.

WTF?!

How can you even suggest such nonsense?

WTF?!  It's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact.  Shortbus IS better than meandeck.

You guys did well at the vintage champs, to which I congratulate you.  I was very proud of Meandeck.  Of course, I was MORE PROUD of Shortbus, since when paired against Meandeck in the top 8, Shortbus blew Meandeck's asshole in half.

Keep in mind, we can all see through the facade.  Secretly you knew when paired up with one of us what the outcome would be.  In my match coverage I detailed this.  Clearly you knew at the start of the game you were headed for a very violent un-lubricated prison mauling.  Hey, remember this:

Steve readjusts his sitting position in a most peculiar manner as he begins his first turn. This reporter’s notes read: “Smmenen readjusts his anus.

My only question is were bracing yourself for the immenent pounding you'd be receiving.  Or were you trying to make it more accessible, you know, presenting it as an offering to the type 1 gods that are team shortbus.

In Magic World Championships style straight from California, if we can have at least three people from Shortbus representin at Waterbury we can have both Shortbus and Meandeck designate three-five players before the tournament.  We will then track each teams cumulative match points and use this to declare an official winner of the Shortbus/Meandeck rivalry...(well...until the next big tournament that is)

We dont have to travel to the northeast to get the lowdown on the shortbus meandeck score... just add up the head to head matchs from this years events... by my estimation we're winning at least 2-1. probably a lot more.

Its not as impressive as our total dominance of those events, but it still showcases the point.  Meandeck has some good players, but they cant beat shortbus'rs...

Well, one member of Short Bus played Fish anyway, and pnwed with it I might add.  However, you neglect the fact that various other TSB members have won major events with Keeper, Hulk, Mask, Stax, 5/3, the list goes on.

We may have our weaknesses (not yet confirmed...someday one might be discovered), but a one-deck team we are certainly not.

Oh, and yes.

Yes, but you let Shane on the team.  No matter what, you're inferior for that reason.

You know, maybe if you stopped saying this every tournament, and actually beat them, people would believe you.

I'm bringing the sword, but we had to send the belt back because they messed up the engraving on one of the plates. I'm fairly certain we didn't order a belt for "TheManaDain Championship".

I'm not sure if I'll be able to have the sword engraved by then either, but it's in the works. It still looks pretty sweet though.
