Wu, this should be a snap for you.  You're almost as close to this thing as I am, and I'm helping run it.  =D

This thing is next week people.  It's going to be big.  Bigger than big.  Bring your friends, your friends' friends, and your friends' enemies.  Even the guy that runs Waterbury is excited about this event.

V. Brief update from Kerz, who was mid-game when I called.  Kerz is 3-1, it appears to be Round 5, and there are 90 in attendance.  More to come.

Ok, last round is coming to a close.  Kowal (Mono-U) beat Kerz (3c Hulk) to get in, The Method is in with Meandeck Titan, 2 5/3-s made it in (one piloted by a Jim DiMarsico(sp?)), and apparantly a Workshop Slaver.  Brass Man might be in, but Kowal wasn't sure.

Only 94 people showed up for this for some reason, which unfortunately means Byrce is out about $700 on the power.  Frowns on any and all Nor'Easters who didn't go*. Sad

Seriously, what the hell?  I understand Waterbury is more central, but you could have won a BELT here, and it turned out to not even be an 8-round event.

*Except Zherbus, who was otherwise occupied. Congratulations man.  Wink

No shit... I'd like to extend my props to Dan Rosu, one of the up-and-coming T1 players in the Toronto area. Good job Dan, best of luck in the T8.

Edit: Holy shit, Steve Brown made it too! Err I meant ... yeah ... I knew the Canadians would take it home.  Very Happy

Way to go guys!

I wasn't playing Meandeck Titan. I was playing Kevin Cron's Stax deck with some minor changes.

Congrats to the winner! He did very well and he deserved the prize.

Do you have any info on the number of people that utilized the $1/proxy system at the tourney and how many cards they proxied like that?

Yep. I'd just have to go through all the decklists again. Daddy needs a break though.
