Here's a cabinet I had made for me by a co-worker recently.
I just picked up the finished product today and it's beautiful.  Completed pics will follow.

The box is to store my sorted collection.  6 rows for Art/Land/Multi and the 5 colors then by set in colums.  It holds single 1000 count boxes.

Indeed, very nice box.
of course, this is not even remotely an excuse not to fill the pimp closet with the pimpest cards on the planet.

Somehow, I don't think that will be a problem for Keith.

What kind of wood is the exterior frame?  It almost looks like cherry in the pics, but I can't imagine that's correct.  Regardless, nice to see a pic of this thing--it looks nice.

I'm really interested in the specs. My room is a mess of cards that desperately needs to be organized.

I'll see what I can do about getting detailed specs for you all.
I may be interested myslef if I ever need a second one.

For reference the materials ended up costing just under $200.
But with my collection worth well over 20 grand I think it's a worthy investment.

On the topic of pimp cases

My friend (a local dealer on the area) works in robotics, and he welded himself a case out of some sheets of steel. It's got padlocks and a handle, and when he's carrying it he looks like he's holding a really big gun in there :p I could see him getting into some trouble trying to get that thing onto a plane. I'll see if I can get pictures.

I think it may even be bulletproof.

I've been storing my cards in a fire-proof safe. Call me paranoid, but I sleep better at night knowing that my collection won't be going "up in smoke" any time soon Smile

A nice case from someone who doesn't have kids. Mine are under the bed in cassette boxes (I can't buy them anywhere now), a 2 year old can't open a double bed (yet). Yes, I have given her some of her own but it's always 'Can I look?' followed by 'Can I have one?' followed by 'Another one?' and she has recently graduated to 'Can I have 3?'. Damned genetics.

You store your cards in your trunk? How original.
